A couple of formations that are perfectly balanced will merit a name without
direction. A four-wideout formation will be simply called "Doubles", and a two-T
formation will be known as "Ace".

Motion
The motion call (if any) will come at the end of the formation call. It will be
communicated by telling the specific player going in motion (Z, H, or T) where to go
(hole numbers). The numbers are simply an extension of the hole numbers that we
use across the line. 7 or 8 positions him just outside the end man on the line of
scrimmage, a 9 or 10 positions him half way out to the wide receiver, and a 11 or 12
positions him several yards outside the wide receiver, as shown below.

Situations

All 4 receivers are "covered-down". One safety

means six in the box. 2 safeties mean five in box.

Left slot (H) is clearly "uncovered". We

must take advantage of this, since the
single-safety look gives them seven in the
box. Throw uncovered route.

One defender vs. 2 receivers. Both run

uncovered routes, or call Bubble Screen

• RB blocks to playside, unless adjustment
• Base Call: allows us to block 3 playside,
and 3 backside
• If more than 3 to a side: make adjustments
