Germany is divided into 2 parts after world war11 east and west West Germany not comaptible for mother and working role East Germany has stayed plentiful in terms of day care slots Strongly Supported by central government and subsidized institutional day care Subsidies covers 90% of the day care cost Income tax structure favors working fathers and stay at home mothers

At the age of 3 to 6 working parents of children have a legal right to half day child care
Parents received up to $188 monthly as government assistance

TRAINING in Germany

Vocational training done at Fachschulen fur Sozialpadagogik (Colleges for Social Pedagogy) Called Erzieherinnen comes from the German word up bringing -secondary level vocational colleges Training is spread over 3 years and has either an integrated internship or one full year of internship in the third year

Montessori: Main Montessori training school Montessori Gesellschaft Montessori diploma course include 290 classes of 45 minutes and have a written final exam on theoretical and practical principles Courses include theories of Montessori Language, math, geometry, music and cosmic education
