It generates many benefits and helps develop national Economies and conserves Cultural Heritage and acts as a bridge in National and International harmony and peace. More than 230 million direct and indirect jobs are believed to be existence because of Tourism which represents 7 8% of global jobs employment.

In 1987, Tourism Department, Government of Mizoram has been separated from Information Public Relation and Tourism. Government of Mizoram has declared Tourism as an industry in 1993. Constructing different Tourist Lodges(Guest House) in different part of the states. (i.e. 38 Tourist Lodge) Main aim is to attract Tourist as much as possible and provide services to them. Promote Tourism industry and its importance to different parts of the states.

1.

Strength: Potential for Tourist spots. Scenery, climate, unique culture, adventure sport.
Providing employment opportunities to the people of Mizoram.

2. Weakness: Lack of infrastructure, service, communication. Lack of maintenance due to increase in Tourist spots but lack in service.

Lack of population. Expenses is more than income and need support from the Central Government.

3. Opportunities: Promotion needed to be increase through advertisement thereby enabling more Tourist attraction. Increasing border trade for the Government between states of North East.

Tourism industry can increase revenue and opportunities for the state. It can lead to more organized Tourist attraction and center for the states benefitting the states as well as the country as a whole. 4. Thread: Depending on political status. Stable weather and climatic conditions crucial for betterment. Lack of popularity due to North East relatively being a small state can hampered Tourist attraction.

Department of Tourism in the states is developing each year. Promotion through advertisement have been laid down. Need better infrastructure and maintenance to satisfy customers. Expense is more while income is less. Due to its border trade, it atracts more Tourist to the state.

Reduce their current Tourist spots. Better maintenance and infrastructure to the attracted Tourist spots.

Need better communication through road and railways.

Providing better transportation for the Tourist.

I can happily say that I accomplished what I planned to do. I added more flexibility by, as I planned, adding functionality to track multiple degrees simultaneously and modifying the length of the plan. It took me a bit longer than I initially planned to because its difficult to get the information since its a Government property and I tried several different ways to implement it before settling on what I did, along the way creating iterations which either broke the original application or slowed it down too much. Once I had this implemented, however, adding functionality for adding/removing semesters was far less difficult, as I had a better grasp of how exactly to implement it.
