Devices

Report Descriptions
Number of Devices by Operating system (OS)
This report provides the total number of devices by Operating System such as Android, iOS, etc.. The report provides an IT admin the visibility into the device landscape managed within the Enterprise and the ability to ensure that the apps delivered etc. are able to support the devices that are used widely within the Enterprise.

Number of Devices by Carrier


This report provides the number of devices by the carriers both in the US and the Rest of the world. IT admin can pursue appropriate carrier negotiations based on the number of devices using a carrier on a global basis.

Number of Devices by Manufacturer


This report is especially relevant for Android devices as there are significant number of manufacturers supporting the android devices. This could help with better purchasing negotiations for newer devices.

Number of new devices added each month by OS


This report provides visibility into the registration of new devices. This is a trend graph that provides insight on the adoption levels of devices within an enterprise.

Ownership of Devices [Corporate/Personal]


With more and more Enterprises adopting to the Bring your own device (BYOD) to work policy, this report provides a quick snapshot of the distribution between corporate and personal devices in the landscape.

Report Descriptions
Roaming activity of Devices [Data/Messaging/Voice]
Report to show the international roaming and no roaming activity (Data, Messaging & Voice) of devices within a billing period. Billing period defined from the first day to the last day of a month.

International roaming activity of Devices in time This report highlights the internationally roaming devices for the current billing period on a map (leveraging Augmented Explorer tool) with a drill-down to understand the specific usage of the device. This is very helpful for an IT admin to manage device roaming costs which is one of the biggest IT costs for mobile devices. Further roaming devices that have exceeded the threshold is shown using a different icon in the map. Number of devices that exceed the defined activity threshold
Thresholds can be maintained for Data/Messaging/Voice in Afaria. This report provides info on the number of devices that have exceeded the threshold in usage categories (Data, Voice & Messaging) for the current and previous billing periods.

Data, Voice and Messaging Usage by Carrier


Report to show the usage by carrier. This macro view will help the IT admin in supporting carrier consolidations/negotiations to achieve the most cost effective rate plan.

Compliance: Afaria Report Details

Report Descriptions
Devices that are compromised (iOS & Android)
Exception based report to show the devices that are jailbroken. This report is only applicable to iOS and Android as they provide the APIs for detecting the compromised device status.

Number of Devices that have not connected in time


This report provides visibility into the devices that have connected in 4 time buckets; less than 3 days, less than 7 days, less than 30 days and other (beyond 30 days). This allows the IT admin to investigate the underlying reasons for the lack of device connectivity to the Afaria server (lost device, broken device, etc.)

Number of iOS Devices without a password policy


This report provides the number of iOS devices that do not have a password policy. This report is applicable only for iOS devices.

Number of Devices that are out of compliance (by platform)


Report that provides visibility to the IT admin on the number of devices that have policies assigned, but are not implemented yet. This can be broken down by the Android and iOS device platforms.

Number of Devices that have access violations (by platform)


Afaria has access control capabilities that has the ability to block email access based on several non-compliant device policies. This report provides the number of devices broken down by iOS and Android OS that have their emails blocked due to violations.

This report provides the total number of enterprise applications installed on a monthly basis

Top 10 Enterprise Applications by installation status


Report defines top 10 enterprise applications based on the total number of devices an application is installed in. Also, it provides the number of devices that are in different status such as assigned, installed and uninstalled for each application. Assigned: Application is assigned by the admin to be installed in a group of devices. Installed: Application is installed by the device owner; Uninstalled: Application is uninstalled by the device owner.

Top 10 Enterprise Applications by platform & installation status


This report is same as the above, but broken out by Android and iOS applications

Volume Licensing status for Enterprise applications


Report shows the usage statistics of the volume licenses purchased for an application from Apple. Total number of licenses broken down by the number of licenses consumed and the number of licenses available is depicted in a bar graph.

Number of Enterprise applications that are out of version


This report highlights the number of devices that have the wrong version of the enterprise application when compared with the application version available in the server.
