La Nia 2010-2011: A disaster in numbers


96,2% of the towns (or municipios) of the country were affected by this phenomenon (Total amount of municipios in Colombia - 1060) 8.8% of the total population was affected (approx. 934.718 families y 4.000.203 people) Between 16.049 y 109.000 households were destroyed, in 428 municipios in 28 departamentos * 1.880 roads were affected in the whole country 1.112 schools to relocate or rebuild More than 300 health provision centers and 493 aqueducts affected
