Purpose: 1) Authentic method of assessment for learning (teachers often use it to gauge the effectiveness of their teaching methods) 2) Reflection on action (what you did and why) and help yourself to do better next time 3)Serve as a source of reference and evidence in the future 4) Helps students : i) make connections between theory and practice ii) Integrate new knowledge with previous knowledge iii) Develop their own understanding

ADVANTAGES: develop analytical, critical or constructive skills For self-evaluation and improvement Helps in personal and professional growth identify weak areas or uncertainties about any issues in their writing strengthen their understanding and to clarify their uncertainties

ADVANTAGES: Reflect on teamwork experience in their placements or classroom Learn new insights from their clinical/fieldwork experience Appreciation of students learning process Intervene purposefully and postively in the learning process

1) Write an introductory paragraph -include information about : (i) how the class and the material impacted your life, (ii) whether it reinforced your current views (iii) or caused you to change your way of thinking

2)Write up a paragraph or two about the impact the lecturer/teacher/classroom discussions or the course material used had on you during the course. 3) If your opinions on different subjects changed due to these factors be sure to provide your previous opinion and explain why you changed your stance 4) Describe a moment during the class that was the most eye-opening for you for example a specific story or analogy to help you understand the lesson better. Reflect on how you felt when you finally understood the lesson and how that lesson might have impacted the way you think

5)Explain how the information from the class has impacted the way you will think, act and feel in the future long after the class is over
6)Explain how this class has changed how you approach other subjects and classes

7)Give feedback in your paper and share your opinions and ideas about how the class might be improved 8)Share what you liked about the class and what material help you learn the most 9)Write a conclusion that summarizes the main points of the paper

Specific tasks were shared out amongst members of my team.Initially, the tasks were not seen as equally difficult by all team members. Co-operation between group members was at risk because of this perception of unfairness. Social interdependence theory recognises a type of group interaction called positive interdependence meaning cooperation (Johnson &Johnson, 1993, cited by Maughan & Webb, 2001)
