WHAT IS A CRIME?
An act or omission punishable or in violation of a criminal law of a state. Nullum crimen, nulla poena sine lege Crime is a growing international problem.
LAW ENFORCEMENT
The law enforcement serves as the front line of the encounter with the criminals or those who threaten the social order and public safety.
Enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the protection of lives and properties. Maintain peace and order and take all necessary steps to ensure public safety.
It serves as the countrys gateway to the international community as well as the buffer point in controlling the entry of unscrupulous aliens in the country.
BUREAU OF CUSTOMS
Inspect, search and examine vessels or aircrafts and any trunk, package, box, or envelope on board. Detain and search all persons coming to the Philippines from foreign countries.
THE COMMUNITY
The burden and concept of law enforcement is not limited to the five major law enforcement agencies of the government. They also rest on a handful of vigilant civilian volunteers patrolling the barangay they serve.
The ability of our law enforcers to prevent and solve crimes depends heavily on the support and the willingness of the community to report presence of bad elements in the locality and commission of crimes.
