1781 - Mozart's opera Idomeneo was a success in Munich. He was then summoned to Vienna under the employment of Archbishop Colloredo. However, Colloredo treated him as a mere servant and their relationship was very bad. Mozart later resigned. Mozart's father was against Mozart's actions but the young composer was determined to pursue an independent career and defended his stand.
