The English Language Teaching Centre

We are one of the largest university centres for English language teaching and intensive language teacher training courses in the United Kingdom. We have over 30 years experience in teaching English as a foreign language. Our teaching staff are university graduates and hold a professional teaching qualification in English language teaching which is recognised by the British Council. The majority of teaching staff have postgraduate qualifications in English language or linguistics. Our senior teaching staff contribute to university masters programmes, supervise higher degree students and provide English language support to the local business community. During the popular summer months, we recruit qualified academic staff on a temporary basis. Many of these teachers teach overseas during the winter months and have current and practical experience of English language teaching.
