If Emily has always been a dutiful wife, why do you think Kheong strayed and moved in with Diana Lee? If you were Kheong, what would you write in an honest, open letter to a doctor about your relationship with Emily and your feelings? Refer to pages 42 to 43.

Dear Doctor Some possible points: (you may explore alternative point of views) -

How do I feel about Emily What Emily has done and how she forced me to return to that cage of hers Manipulative and crafty in getting me back home (arranged the September fifth dinner despite little support from me) Left me no way out due to social obligations and rumours about Diana and I Emily refuses to be divorced Feels trapped and the patchwork quilt by my bed is a constant reminder of Have given up on this family. Richard is gone, I have lost all hopes I will never forgive her for what she has done to my son I never want to see her ever again Greatest regret
