EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In line with the local previous and current condition of NAD province, UNIMAL is becoming a strategic institution in recovering the better living condition, through improving the qualification of its human resources. UNIMAL is ready to optimize the outreach program as a proper effort to gain the recovery. In addition, through the support of the IMHERE project the UNIMAL will be able to accelerate the institution objective achievement. UNIMAL objectives is to produce high quality graduates who are able to compete in obtaining job and enhance the national and local society economic growths; to improve the quality of human resources in respond to the technological development, knowledge, and skills needed by the graduates; to strengthen the capability of the institution in providing more access and output to support national work force needs and accountability; to increase social responsibility toward society; to help and generate the potential sources in the society; to accommodate the potential but disadvantaged families and to improve the family education and living quality. In next fiveth year of the project, it will be conducted nine activities, seven of them to improve the quality and efficiency of the educational process of proposed study program (EESP and PASSP) and the others representing the institutional wide program. The EESP activities are : Improving the students academic atmosphere motivation to do self learning, Evaluating the new curriculum, Developing the good management system, and Increasing the function of laboratories and workshops for education, research and to support revenue generating activities. The PASSP activities are Improving the quality of education and the learning process in PASSP, Developing database and information system and Developing a research centre to increase research quality of staff and student. The institutional wide program is increasing access-incoming students from economical disadvantages family and rural area. This project will be implementing by the project officer. The project officer, except the procurement section, Monev and Treasurer, was selected based on the some criteria, and who got the top score of electing that clue by all task force members and other staff. Especially for procurement section and Monev, the members were recruiting from the institutional procurement section and Monev of institution. For treasure section, the members are recruiting from finance unit in UNIMAL and they must fulfill some criterion. Therefore, for Monev, Treasurer and Procurement section is permanent staff. For implementing the proposed activities, it is needed total budget amount WB IDR (RK) 1,994,500,000 and GOI IDR (RMP) 440,000,000 and DRK IDR (PNBP) 214,000,000. Total is RP 2,684,500,000.
