QUICK TIPS FOR THE MONTH
WEEK 2 Goal check in We are past the half year mark of 2012. When was the last time you checked in with your goals? Take a few hours to review the S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, actionable, resource, and timetable) goals set during the start of the year. For those goals that have not been achieved, decide to proceed or eliminate and concentrate on achieving key goals for the remaining year. Incorporate monthly checkin points to ensure you reach the outcome for your business that you planned in the last quarter of 2011. One other strategy is to find several accountability partners (other entrepreneurs) who will help remind and encourage you to goal achievement. WEEK 3 Customer appreciation When was the last time you said thank you to your customers? Before the year is out, consider how you will thank your customers. One recommendation is to use your email marketing

tool to send a thank you to all those who supported you throughout the year. Another idea is to send a handwritten note saying thank you to those who used your solution to their problem. Regardless of the method, people appreciate those who appreciate them. From the EDAC team, THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS. WEEK 4 Take a break Lets count the number of days taken off since you were an entrepreneur. How many did you come up with? Taking a few days off can be a challenge for those looking to hold on to the reins of their business. Let go! If you are a one person entrepreneur or have multiple employees, position your business for down time. Taking a break (1 day, 3 days or 1 week) should become part of your business planning and operations. A break allows you to rejuvenate and return to the office with a clear sense of direction and purpose. Talk to other entrepreneurs to learn about their strategies for taking a break.
