Welcome to the 2011 Adecco Salary Guide, Malaysia

Welcome to the 2011 Adecco Salary Guide a comprehensive overview of updated salary information and job descriptions across key sectors and industries in Malaysia. 2010 was an interesting year from both an employer and employee perspective. From the economic challenges of 2009, the Malaysian economy rebounded well in 2010, with companies again looking to hire the best talent to ensure their competitiveness. Across many sectors, this growth brought with it higher salary demands from job seekers, especially in areas such as IT and pharmaceuticals, where growth was particularly evident. However, in some areas, this economic turnaround also resulted in labour shortages. Job growth has been strong in the first quarter of 2011 in Malaysia and we will likely continue to see fierce competition from organisations seeking to identify the best talent. Every company wants to hire and retain the best people and to effectively do this, they need to offer attractive salary and benefit packages. The reality for many organisations is that they are going to need to be highly creative in how they identify and retain top talent. In 2011, Adecco Malaysia will continue to play its industry leadership role by consulting with companies and organisational decision makers as to how their talent base can be structured, and the steps needed to achieve workforce optimisation. This guide covers many specific job titles across various industry sectors. However, if you are looking for salary data that may not be covered, then please do connect with your Adecco contact who will be pleased to support you. I personally hope that this 2011 Adecco Salary Guide, Malaysia, will be of great benefit to you and your colleagues. Lynne Ng Regional Director Adecco South East Asia
