Network Technician or Junior Network Administrator (with CCNA, A+ and MCP skills) to provide 1st and 2nd level service desk support while updating tickets accordingly. They will also escalate incidents further by working together with the users, vendors and respective groups in IT. They should possess sound and independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills for all that comprises our infrastructure (internal/external and web applications, Active Directory, desktops, servers, network equipment). They will be responsible for taking proactive measures in the maintenance and security of desktops and improve the user experience. The Junior Network Administrator will also be asked to assist in the maintenance of the infrastructure, perform server administrative tasks as requested, manage Active Directory accounts and permissions, assist in the asset quoting and procurement process and also maintain hardware and software inventories, assist in the documentation of systems, applications and policies and provide ad hoc and reoccurring reports to management and internal/external audit. Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) Installs, configures, troubleshoots and maintains PC hardware, software and printers Proactively take measures for desktop maintenance, security and performance Plans and implements user profiles which provide drive and printer mappings and email Provides service desk support to resolve complex technical hardware and software problems Works with the users and IT to escalate tickets to resolution Assists in asset quoting and procurement process Manages Active Directory accounts and permissions Maintains detailed inventory of purchased hardware and software and tracks software installed on PCs Prepares and provides reports as requested by management Performs all functions as assigned by management

Knowledge/Skills CCNA, A+ and MCP desirable Three years experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining PC hardware and software and printers Good knowledge of PC hardware and OS support Good knowledge of network concepts and protocols Good problem analysis and resolution skills Good interpersonal skills Good oral and written communication skills in English Experience with Linux Windows XP and 7, cloning software Experience with MS Office 2010 and Symantec Antivirus Experience with Active Directory Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science
