Canada

Canadas multi culture is encouraging gun violence. In recent years, cities located in Canada have had lots of violent offenses involving the usage of guns. Statistically the cities: Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Halifax had the most gun violence per hundred thousand people in Canada; Toronto having forty point three, Winnipeg having forty-three point nine, Vancouver having forty-five point three, and Halifax having the most gun hostility compared to all the other cities in Canada by having hundred seventy one point four. ("Vancouver Province" 1) This gun violence ratio in the city of Halifax is equal to about the twice of Vancouver and Toronto combined. ("Vancouver Province" 1) There are many causes to these outrageous gun violence rates in Canada. The most common causes are usually because of rumors, confusion, and the government leniency toward gun violence. First, the people consider that guns are the source to power. (Gerdes 3) The people believe that with guns, one is free to bully. As a result of this principle, the people believe wielders of guns as the boss. Second, the people believe that guns are the cure to poverty. (Gerdes 3) They believe that if one carries a gun, one could terrorize others for money. Third, the people are sometimes confused between the reality and the material world. (Gerdes 3) Todays media such as music, video film, and videogames usually include gun violence. (Gerdes 3) These media brainwashes oneself to thinking that the idea of gun violence are accepted by others. Fourth, there are many gun violence rates in Canada since the Canadas current government system is very lenient towards gun violence. The government of Canada currently did not make any strict gun policy because they believe it is not the solution to the gun violence. (Daily" 4)

Seo 5 Furthermore, while other countries make those who committed gun violence stay in jail for a lifetime, Canada makes the committers of gun violence stay in jail for only about four years. ("Daily" 4) These multi culture results have made the rate of gun violence increase. Not only is that, guns are now the most used weapon on crimes. (Gerdes 3) To support this, since most people prefer handguns for gun violence, by statistics, one could see a rise of handgun for gun violence. ("The Daily" 4) The usage of handguns have increased by twice from nineteen ninety seven to now resulting two thirds of gun violence from handguns. ("Daily" 4) To further support this, ever since the rise of handguns bought in Canada, gun violence rates has increased by thirty two percent from two thousand six. ("CBC News" 3) For examples of gun violence, there was a fifteen year old girl on Boxing Day who lost, and therefore, killed the victorious with a handgun. (Munroe 3) Another example of gun violence was when a sixteen year old wielded a handgun which he borrowed from his friend to revenge those who had mistreated him. (Munroe 3) Hence, with all these data, one can presume that Canadas multi culture has been encouraging gun violence. The gun violence rates in Canadas city such as Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto, and Halifax and the rumors, the confusion, and the governments leniency are the major factor supporting this. One hopes that Canada would work on the solution of lowering the gun violence rate unlike now where they do not deter gun violence since they believe it is not the solution.
