BMA TRADING TERMINAL INSTALLATION GUIDE

Upon inserting the Trading Terminal software CD this screen will appear. For auto installation click on Install Trading Terminal from the above menu.

After clicking Install Trading Terminal, installation will start. Kindly wait till the introduction window appears in front of you.

Click next to proceed

Click next to install default directory

Select other and then click Next to install

To install BMA Trading Terminal in your directory select install

Please wait. Initial installation of the BMA Trading Terminal may take a few minutes.

Click Done to complete installation.

LAUNCHING BMA TRADING TERMINAL

BMA Trading Terminal can also be accessed form the shortcut provided at your Desktop.

LOGIN SCREEN

Note: Upon initial Login the system may ask you to upgrade to the latest version of the software. This process may take a few minutes. However, if no such message appears then only this application login screen will be displayed.

Login Screen Upon successful installation simply sign in with your User ID and Password provided to you in the welcome package. Connect Trading Terminal by choosing the Primary option, however if there is a connection error try using Secondary (Backup) option.

MAIN SCREEN

After your initial login, the above displayed windows appear as default, but these can be changed as desired by selecting the options from the menu bar.

Important Note At time of orders please note that both (Server & Rates), must be connected.

RIGHT CLICK OPTIONS AND SYMBOL SELECTION

Click right on the market watch screen to view the following options:Symbol List Column Options Color Font

Symbol Selection To add new symbols just write the symbol of the scrip and click the Add button. Similarly, click delete to remove any item. Symbols can be moved up or down whenever required, by using the arrow keys.

Adding/Changing Symbols Directly

Adding Symbols To add a new symbol directly on your Market Watch window, double click on the blank column at the bottom of the symbol list, type your symbol and press Enter. Changing Symbols To change or replace an existing symbol, double click on that symbol, press back space, enter your desired symbol and press Enter.

COLUMN SELECTION AND COLOR SETTING

Column Selection: Required fields from the column list (left) can be selected and moved to the selected column (right) and vice versa. Column settings can also be changed by using up and down arrow keys.

Color From the color selection window you can choose any color for changing the foreground, background, header foreground, header background, up tick, down tick and grid line color.

FONT SIZE

Font selection will allow you to choose your favorite font and its size.

FILE MENU

The menu bar at the top provides you with options of File, View, Order, Trading, Graph, Account Status, Reports and Settings.

Trade Log the first option in File Trade Log maintains a record of all the trades executed daily.

Message Log Message Log comprises of login confirmations, password change confirmations, loading of market and symbol data confirmations, opening and suspension of regular, carry over, future and provisional market. The file contains messages for each trading day only (i.e. historical messages for previous days are not retrievable).

Exit To Log off from the TT Software application click on exit.

VIEW MENU

Market Watch shows real time trading activities for each symbol. Each row shows current market statistics, for a particular symbol, in a particular market (ready, futures etc). If the change in any value is greater than its pervious value, the figures in the Change column will appear in green and if the change is less than the pervious value, the figures will appear in red.

Market Watch

Waterfall Ticker Waterfall Ticker displays current trades as they happen and buy/sell market positions for the selected symbols. The latest trades are shown at the top.

Time of Sale Time of Sale helps to observe the changing market situation of a particular symbol.

Exchange Watch Exchange Watch displays shares trading and exchange statistics, which help in knowing the current index, total turnover, change, up, down etc.

Symbol Summary This option allows you to see the summary of your desired symbol. Symbol summary not only displays the daily high and low of your selected symbol but also identifies the current buy / sell price along with Upper (To) and Lower (From) Cap of the same.

Market by Order Market by Order displays the last 10 orders queued for execution. Buy/sell prices and the corresponding volumes of a particular symbol are displayed. Enter the symbol of your desired company to view the last 10 queued orders on real time basis.

Market by Price Market by Price displays the number of buyers and sellers in a queue showing details of their prices, orders and total volume.

Important! Message Board window gives you a current status of your orders (buy, sell or cancel). It is recommended that you always keep this window open for order updates.

Message Board Message Board provides an interface through which a user is kept aware of different events happening in the system. Whenever a user places an order or modifies / cancels an existing order, message board displays different messages regarding the status of these orders. Similarly, when an order gets executed, a trade confirmation appears on the message board.

ORDER MENU

Buy Order

This screen allows you to place buying orders by entering the quantity (volume) of your desired symbol. You will also have to enter the order type (limit, market etc). Clicking Buy button enables the system to process the order. However, before executing the order the system will request final confirmation through another window. Immediately after the order is executed, the order confirmation is displayed in the message board window.

Invalid Order If the order value is greater than the exposure allowed, this prompt window appears which shows the available exposure allowed.

This screen allows you to place selling orders by entering the quantity (volume) of your desired symbol. You will also have to enter the order type (limit, market etc). Before executing the order, the system will check the custody position in the relevant script. Clicking the Sell button enables the system to process the order. However, before executing order the system will request final confirmation through another window. Immediately after the order is executed, the order confirmation is displayed in the message board window.

Sell Order

Invalid order: If the ordered quantity is not in your custody a prompt window appears which shows the order volume being greater than the holding.

Modify Order: This screen allows you to modify your orders, prices and volume.

Modify Order: You can also modify your order rates and volume through outstanding order window. To modify your order, open outstanding order window, select your order by left click on the particular order that you want to modify. By left clicking on that order the color of the line will become grey. Right click on that order and select Modify Order.

Modify Order: By selecting Modify order on your particular order, your given order symbol, rate and volume will automatically be highlighted on the screen. From here you can modify your volume or rates as per your requirement. Your modification confirmation will be displayed on the message window.

Cancel Order For order cancellation, enter your order number and click cancel. The confirmation will be exhibited in the message board window. Orders can also be cancelled by going to outstanding orders, selecting the order to be cancelled and confirming cancellation.

Outstanding Orders

This keeps a record of all orders that have not been executed. Whenever a new order is placed, it appears in this window as outstanding order, until the order is successfully executed or cancelled. Buy and Sell orders appear in different colors. Orders can be cancelled by right clicking on a particular order.

Outstanding Orders Summary Outstanding Orders Summary shows a listing of all orders for each symbol. Summary of a particular symbol may also be viewed.

TRADING MENU

Transaction List Transaction List maintains the updated records of all the executed trades during the day.

Transaction Summary Transaction Summary shows a list of all the current days trades for each symbol. Summary of a particular symbol may also be viewed.

Delivery Request In case of purchase of CFS items the customer should always mark Delivery Request for current day purchases (if the client does not want to avail the CFS facility), either after closing of the regular market or before starting of the CFS market, though this can also be requested during regular market hours. In case the delivery of CFS scrips is not marked by the customer on the same day, the items will then be categorized as CFS.

Payment Request This facility allows the client to request for payments via cheque from his / her account

GRAPH MENU

Stock Graph Stock Graph plots trade rates of a symbol (vertically) in a particular market against time (horizontally). The graph may be viewed with different rate differentials. You can view up to five stock graphs simultaneously.

Index Graph Index Graph plots stock exchange index value against time.

ACCOUNT STATUS MENU

Portfolio view Current portfolio provides a view of clients trades for the day with respect to current market rates, average cost, market value and un-realized gain/loss. Clearing types drop down menu specifies the type of trade settlement.

Margin Report Margin Report keeps a track of the users current status of cash (blocked /unblocked), custody, exposure allowed and available percentage, as well as a summary of the users portfolio.

REPORTS MENU

Cash Book Provides the clients cash activity on the requested trade date. Enter date (From To) and Click the Fetch button, will display the detailed report.

Cash book Report Complete details of your cash book with trade #, date, chg/bill # sett date, description, debit, credit and balance can be viewed.

Payment Request Date wise payment requests are displayed.

Payment Request Detailed reports of payment requests with time, amount, status, remarks, accept time and delivery time may be viewed.

Net Custody Position Details of the clients net custody position, for a particular symbol (stock) or all symbols on a particular date and in each market category (regular, spot forward etc) are provided.

Daily Trade Confirmation Daily Trade Confirmation provides symbol wise details of a clients trading activities in a specific period of time, for a particular clearing type.

Periodic Trade Summary Symbol wise summary of clients trading activities, in a particular period of time, for a particular clearing type, are provided.

SETTING MENU

Change Password For your own security, it is recommended that you should immediately change your password from this screen after login for the first time. This facility allows you to change your passwords when required.

Price Alerts

Price Alert cautions the user whenever the price of certain symbols crosses certain upper and lower limits. The user defines these upper and lower limit values.

Symbol Listing Shows company names and their respective symbols listed in the Karachi Stock Exchange.
