Update details of personal card online rather than in person at the library. Also re-registration when the library card expires

Contact details and PINs can be change online via our web site www.frankston.vic.gov.au/library login via the My Account section with your library membership number and PIN then click the Personal Details tab. Re-registration cannot be done on line so every three years we ask you to visit the library to renew your membership.

It would be good for the Council to change the rule regarding returning lost books. To put a time limit of 3 months and a receipt to get a refund is sometimes not possible as books are often found after 3 months and to keep a receipt for months is not easily done. This library has records of all charges, therefore a receipt is not necessary. Books should always be returned when they are found and refunds should be given. For families, the change of rule will help to ease the expenses of parents and to keep kids borrowing and reading books.

Thank you for your suggestion, we set a threemonth limit on refunds because after that time we either re purchase the item or a similar item to fill the gap in the collection. We try to get the balance right between making refunds available and having the item available for use by other library patrons.

I find that the receipts for library books are awkward and easy to loose. Bring back the pocket on the inside cover! It worked soooo well, why did that system stop! We need some place to put the docket. REALLY!!!

You need an index book search computer at the non-fiction area of the library. I cant walk up to the other end to search for non-fiction books Observed young students at the computers eating food while they use the computer. No food or drink should be allowed as the computers can be damaged by drink spills and food contamination of the keyboard Please put hand sanitizers at the library entrance and at the computer stations. If you do not clean computer keyboards in between users please make hand sanitizers available. Love the library Please allow scanning to email on the computers Could you please provide scanning facilities at the computer area?

An interesting idea but unfortunately there is no room to fit a pocket on items such as DVDs and CDs without covering important information and the cost of adding a pocket to the back of every library item would be prohibitive and If you have a mobile phone you can elect to have your docket sent as an SMS or if you have access to a computer you can view what you have out on your card and its due date by logging into the My Account area on our web site www.frankston.vic.gov.au/library Thank you for your suggestion; we have plans to add another catalogue computer in the nonfiction area in late July early August 2012. Thank you for your concern, in the 6 years we have had the current computer use guidelines there has only been one minor drink spill over a computer keyboard. Please make use of the soap and warm water available in the public toilets for hand washing if required. Alternatively, hand sanitizers are available for sale at the library counter for $2. The new IELTS site is fantastic. Very modern. A great improvement TV & DVD player for homeless library members on unit which only plays library DVDs please Hello, I am a random citizen and I am writing this to give you feedback. I love books and libraries. GO BRITAIN, EUROPE & CANADA and many other places as well. I know this has nothing to do with feedback and you will probably be annoyed when you read this because it is a waste of your time but I just wanted to say Well Done, I think you are all doing a great job. I love the Doctor Who and USE THE FORCE. Frankston library is a fabulous place to read, reflect, and relax and great variety of resources and stories. Keep up the good work. The library is awesome. Great help at the desk over many years by staff. I love your staff, they are always so friendly and helpful, my whole family knows from storytime and thank you for having storytime at Karingal Place now it is even easier to attend. Service Brilliant, librarians are always trying their best to help, we love coming to the library. What a wonderful library, Sundays entertainment, staff are very helpful, great selection of everything and great space. All good service Thank you I appreciate that you are open until 9 pm Great work. Love the library, just like Christmas each time I come. I received the best help from the library staff. I needed to print off TROVE newspaper items (from 1941 fighting in North Africa) for my family research. The staff were patient, problem solving and successful. I am pleased and thank you I keep seeing large amounts of puddled water in the mens toilets very dangerous. Please note no where near wash hand basins Suggest when children under 4/5 are in the childrens area that a parent should stay with them.

I notice your National Year of Reading and wonder if you might have some groups for learning to read for older adults. If possible, could a few more small black mobile trolleys be available for library members to carry books please. Thank you Junior trolleys for the kids. Junior Trolleys would be great Place rubber corners on the corners the baby book wooden containers. My 10 month old barely reaches the edges and on the occasion has hit her mouth on the corner as she is at the stage of propping herself up on the edges of furniture. Can you please make the font of the feedback response page a little bigger? Also, do they get posted online?

Generally the feedback is printed on A3 paper however if we receive many comments and cannot fit everything in the window space, they will occasionally be printed at a smaller size. The feedback is able be read online through the Library Blogalogue and in turn, on our facebook page. The events for June card is unreadable please The monthly events cards are business card make a bigger format, thanks size for easy storage in wallets and purses. It might be a good idea to get more chord songbooks. Personally, Ive been chasing the Bob Dylan chord songbook for ages and it always seems to be out Like the new set up for the music. Thank you It might help if music CDs were sorted by year e.g. 50s, 60s, 70s & more Should ask people what CDs they would like to see. Selection is good but too many of the same CD or artist.
