Abstract
The report mainly discusses about simulating electric machines using MATLAB GUI. The different types of machines are tackled in this report. Each machine has distinct input and output parameters and set graph. The report contains sample output of simulation of each type of machine.

parameters and panel for machine losses. The user can then place input values and click Calculate button to display output parameters.

I. INTRODUCTION
Rotating electrical machines -- generators and motors -- are devices that transform mechanical power into electrical power, and vice-versa. Electrical power from a central power station can be transmitted and subdivided very efficiently and conveniently. Electrical machines are some of the greatest inventions that helped develop electrical engineering and studying them further would contribute to greater development. Simulations for these machines are being made for providing easier means to study them. MATLAB, famous for programming, had also developed GUIs for these machines.

The program also contains button for graphing, reset and exit.

IV. CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS

The program works very well although it has many limitations due to limited magnetization curve and other limiting factors. The program can further be improved by adding more functions and making the program more general.
