Armtec offers a full range of pedestrian and vehicular truss styles for project needs. As highly skilled solution providers, we are ready to support every phase of the projectfrom concept to installation.

Connector
The standard Connector designs span up to 76.2m (250') for pedestrian and 45.7m (150') for vehicular applications. They feature a parallel top and bottom chord and are available in both flat designs or cambered up to 1% of the span length.

The Keystone designs span up to 45.7m (150') for vehicular and 76.2m (250') for pedestrian applications. The depth at center span is usually 10% of the clear span. With longer spans, the center depth may be reduced to 7% of the span.

Archway
The Archway pedestrian truss style combines the architectural appeal of a traditional arch design with the engineering practicality of open clearance above the bridge deck and exceptional strength below. Archway bridges feature a cambered bottom chord to emphasize the arch design. Railing systems can vary.

Cable-Stayed
Engineered for bridge lengths from 61.9 to 121.9m (200 to 400'), Armtec offers many tower variations for unique architectural statements; tower heights are approximately one-quarter of the main span length. The most economical end spans are approximately one-half the length of the main span. The bridge truss itself is very lightweight, and, as installed, appears to be floating.

Capstone
The Capstone truss is designed for projects requiring a long span bridge with limited approach depth. The truss height varies to allow a low-abutment backwall for improved hydraulic efficiency. Capstone is an ideal solution for longer spans of up to 45.7m (150') for vehicular and 76.2m (250') for pedestrian applications.

Steel Stringer
The Steel Stringer bridge style is an economical alternative for bridge replacements and short span bridges up to 24.3m (80'). A Steel Stringer (or beam span bridge) can utilize existing bridge abutments where feasible and can accommodate heavy vehicle loading. Steel Stringer bridges can be built to virtually any width and then shipped in sections.

The Link style is an attractive companion to the Connector design. The cross brace panels add to the symmetry and beauty of the bridge design. The Link is available in spans up to 76.2m (250') for pedestrian and up to 45.7m (150') for vehicular applications.

The Gateway style utilizes the stability of the box girder for longer spans up to 91.4m (300'). This design is particularly useful in highway and railroad overpasses. In the custom design phase, Armtec considers all variablesincluding unusual alignments, grade differences, switchbacks and cantilevers, special architectural treatments, glazing requirements, pre-wired electrical systems and custom finishes.
