Rules and Guidelines to combat roleplay:

An Emire rewrite
Summary: This guide is for those who are willing to use my combat roleplay rules. All rules must be 100% abided to otherwise you will be tax severely for it.

Tier Combat System: The usage of tier will describe the level of your character starting at three and ending at one. The TCS will be left to both the challenger and the other combatant to decide on. All decision are final once the battle begins.

Tier 3 Realistic/Fight Club/Light Combat: Realistic combat is left for the mind to imagine! This is basically a battle to the wits on skills such as hand to hand combat, marksmanship, and even both if necessary. These will be bounded by real life boundary and ailments that would affect a human if placed in a situation. Do note that everything that you use will need to be described. Sub-writings of T3

Sci-Fi: The usage of technology and other related items that is far unrealistic to the public. This involves all other objects such as robots, cyborgs and other humanoid byproducts of technology; this excuse guns that use plasma and laser energy sources without the idea of it being affected by modern day realism. Modern: This is the basis of all combat. Realism involves everything from a human ability to run, jump, physical resistant, response, vision, etc... Mental resilience relies on the writer.

Tier 2 Moderate/Unrealistic/Medium Combat: Moderate combat is based on popular and in demand anime and folk-tale creature limitation. The power and skill limitation is left to the writer, detail is key. However, Moderate combat does not have the ability to destroy the world or anything life threating, storyline roleplay should stick with that concept. Think Anime, Dracula, or any Video Game. Think of how they balance things out, not on the programing side simpleton.

Tier 1 Power/Heavy Combat: Power combat is a no-bars brawl with powers left to the imagination of the writers. The writers use their own character limitation they set, and abide by the AOP included, combat

roleplay. Detail is god, detail is love, and detail is stressed here for everything counts in this roleplay. This is the more of the Too good to use club if you are new. This is for the competitive, geeks of roleplaying to use.

No God-Modding: This is described to be a character without any limits and boundary, normally because of the lack of detail. Without proper detail and consideration, you may lose depending on the reffs call and the call of other judges.

No Third-Party Control: This describes when a character ability or character itself was automatically placed by the third party, which would be the opponent, by means of auto-developing the point. This is subjected to spread to GM and the rule below, AH. This also involves powers.

NoAuto-Over Powering: Depending on the strength and effort by via detail needed to describe your characters power, will determine the better of them all attacks. A fireball that can only lite a tree in a small ember is stronger than an explosion. Do not say your attack over powers your opponents from the get-go, let detail do that for you.

No Auto-Hitting: This describes a character being hit without the chance to dodge by means of preemptively assuming they have been hit already without their consent. This is similar to breaking the third-party control.

No Fourth-Wall Infringing: This describes the usage of gaining knowledge of something by means of out of character usage, and then uses it in the battle against the opponentlike a weakness, abilities, or their character chart. All knowledge can be gained though in character methods if able to, unless stated in their character biography/history that they gotten Human schooling and vice versa for the human, then you cannot use any knowledge inside a RC.

No John Woo R^2: R^2 means Reflex and Reaction before we continue: No JWRSQ means that we cannot use any reflex and reaction that is sub-human. This means that if you own a 2000 pound Hammer and you can only lift 200 of that up, then that means youre going to have a slow, hard time using that Axe to its fullest potential. That also means that if you are blocking and if you take a high punch and thing if your opponent is going low, but he goes high and left you with no chance to react, you take the blow

unless your character is able to. This will and should be introduced in the introduction. As a side note, combos can be established if you have the ability to do so. Usage of evading is not to be used to evade everything and hit everything. You will be expected to take blows when its humanly impossible. ~JWRSQ is [on] or [off] (bold or remove whatever it is.)

Usage of Multi-Attacks: Multi-Attacks is normally banned due to improper detail in going into this. This is usually along the line of TPC: The ability to strike an opponent, retreat, and strike again. The usage of multi-attack will not be used in that way, but the usage of Multi-Attack will limit you on how many attacks you can use in a turn, depending on your characters strength. Be honest, judges will be harping on that. ~Multi Attack Limitation: 1-5 (Number of your choice) ~Multi Defense Limitation: 1-5 (Number of your choice)

Equal Length: When defending or going for dispelling or a counter, you must apply detail to your writing that allows your defense or ability counter to successfully be used. This would mean that it would nearly take as much charge time for you to dispel as much strength as it was needed to hold you down. This can be exploited by means of an opponent leaving a gap in their writing that they didnt put down.

RP Fundamentals: Follow your P and Qs. Proper spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and overall quality of your roleplay post is requiring following this rule. A match can be disbanded, voided, or tied if both or one side dodges not follow this basic rule. The stress on grammar and overall quality of your roleplay determine if the battle is continued or not. If your post does not make any sense, the judge can head the call of either you are the opponent and request that you are the opponent do a rewrite where you or your opponent can understand the post. If the judge can understand the post of the person who was called out, then the match is to be expected to be continued.

Interruptions: To call it simple, the usage of Interruptions allows one to interrupt an opponents attack if the time frame is sufficient. Interruptions are also noted to interrupt ones way of launching an attack, also if the time frame is sufficient.

Follow Up Concept: This is where an opponent or you throw a left hook and move to the left, what would be the next idea? Well one would, so to say, attempt to grapple or throw a right hook? Make sure

you let your opponent know that you are following up with another attack, similar to Multi-Attacking but it relies both people are true to their character and roleplay battling.

Death Encounters: These similar to the idea of FUC but excuses one relying on intuition to move out of the way of an attack, also keeping in mind that there is no JWRSQ involve in these. Character that allows JWRSQ will keep this in mind.

Magic Concept: Magic is nothing expandable like Final Fantasy or other roleplaying games. Magic is indeed something you should cherish in the battle. Magic gives you an advantage over character that doesnt have it, or maybe is not as strong as you. The usage of magic will have a toll on your character that will drain magic, mana, chi, ki, Ninpo, spiritual pressure, etc...s reserve of magic, life force, and/or stamina. Magic and anything like magic will require at least a post to prepare before usage. This will involve any incantations and any other conditions need to be followed. Small scale attacks, like a distraction fireball can be used without a post preparation. It has to be small, nothing that can zap a car into dust.

Porting: I hate it, I honestly do. But Im fair, so heres the concept. The usage of porting must require a single, dedicated post for you to teleport. You are not exempt from any on coming attacks for they will still hit you if you do not do anything about it. Do note you will take a prep-post, one post, of course, in doing so. The usage of technological porting will use the same method as well.

The usage of Transforming: Transformation will require a minimal of one or two post, depending on where the usage of transforming is applied to. For an example, going nine tails on the show is on the fly, but not here. It will require a two post preparation of one struggling to resist. Something like transforming into something that enhances your ability threw magical method will depend. Over all, its just like magic. Do note that you will need to charge before you post. In total, you will need two to three minimal posts to transform.

Range Weaponry: The usage of Range weaponry must be described to the fullest detail. This also will determine your characters weight and mobility as well. Ladies, do not put an extra DE clip in that vagina of yours. You know what happens when you do, so dont! Keep it out and in something sanitary too. Also, unless youre name is Snake or Raiden and this is Metal Gear Solid, you do not have infinite ammo. You also must write the description of how much you have as well.

Equipment: Equipment such as Armor and other weighted gear can put weight, strenuous, and damper moment in roleplay. Put effort into describing all equipment and such, including how it affect you character if so.

Evasion: Usage of evading is not to be used to evade everything and hit everything. You will be expected to take blows when its humanly impossible. If you do evade everything that is thrown at you for a long period of time, mainly about 5 posts, that is also not humanly possible to avoid as well, you will be disqualified for on the guideline of JWRSQ. This is not affected by the rule of JWRSQ; Evasion is its own guideline.

Summoning (NPC): The usage of summoning is to conjure a creature or a person in your time of need with the help of material, incantation, and other objects necessary to do so. Limitation is expected to be set by the creator of their character and summoning. Do note that summoning time for this is three to five post if do summon.

Summoning (Outside roleplayer): Use the same concept as the NPC, but both sides must agree on the concept of letting another roleplay as a character that you summoned. There will be an expected RP scenario of either teleporting or the trip to the roleplay battle location is expected.

Race Guideline: To put it simply, as I tell all the children as well, children should stay in children place. What I mean is by is the concept of a race is to be unique to the other by means of weakness and strength. Elf has superior knowledge of life while humans dont. Orgs have a huge strength advantage over humans. Humans can be calm while orgs cannot.

Specification: This is the detail guideline. Anything and everything must be described in detail involving the character that is important. Your shitty shoe isnt important to me. That fireball of death and destruction is. If you shoe doesnt have anything important thats detrimental to the battle, keep the detail minimal.

Deus Ex Machina: The definition of Deus Ex Machina is the way of writing a special ability use to fend off the opponents attack or your attempt to finish them off without it being in the character description, aka the introduction of the post. This is not to be used what so ever. This type of roleplaying ruins the combat and alone shows that you are not able to take a defeat or earn a victory legitimately. The winner

goes to the one who truly deserve it, not the one who can pull it out of that bloody, gaping, wound, they call a butt.

Death Match: The usage of death match, AKA DM, is to determine who has the better character by wits and skill of their character. The winner is allowed to keep their character; the loser, however, will indeed have to suffer the loss of a character and will be metaphorically forced to make another character in order to death match. These do not, affect storyline purposes in any roleplay until its finished. Then the character is removed, like saying your last good byes if you dont survive.

Exhibition Brawl: Exhibition Brawl, AKA EB, is to establish better understanding of ones character though a field tests, so to speak, to see where anything is to be iron out. These matches will not need a judge unless if one truly desire. This method of combat is for the other to go all out without any worry about a characters death. Pokmon battling is how one should describe it.

Story Event: Story Event, AKA SE, is to describe ones method of roleplaying by usage of battling if character is engage as such. To say the least, you can say an SE can be a DM or an EB depending on the outcome of the battle. SE, overall, is a combination of EM and EB in one.

Editing and Reposting: Two things that are not often allowed, but if given the option to rewrite or edit is up to the judge, then the judge will decide with the person whom this may concern to. Get into the habit of saying no Editing and Reposting. Im not abolishing this, but this will be strongly not recommended to use. If you are editing and reposting, you must not change your post. Only change the part that confuses the judge and the reader. This also does not excuse friendly battling. Battling death matches as such will allow a minimal three to five day grace period to post. An extra day is allowed if the opponent allows it.

The use of Judges: They are the neutral party or the well educated in the TCS roleplay style. The judges word is final, challenging the judge is accepted but to an extent. Judges will have the right to ignore the situation if the challenger does not understand the call. The judge is not your friend in this battle; judges are the neutral party that is to solve all problems involving the battle and nothing more.

Introductions: The introduction is key to your success in battling. This is where you will describe your character down to the shoes he wears. Keep in mind that the important stuff is the abilities he has. You are allowed to use pastebin, scribd, and other past bin online site. Please keep in mind if you do use this,

there will be an expected full description of the ability on this site with the ability pertaining to it as well. Any and all abilities outside of the introduction are not permitted. They will be counted as Deus Ex Machina. What you include is up to you, so long as its descriptive and understandable.
