Salvage firm has a great reputation

TANYGROES CAR DISMANTLERS was established in 1981 in West Wales and since then the company has progressed into being one of the largest salvage operators in the UK.
Affiliated to the National Service Group covering all of the British Isles and dealing with more than 80,000 vehicles a year, TCD has the added advantage of the NSGs advanced national computer and communications network, enabling them to offer a full and reliable service second to none. CREDIBILITY Servicing the salvage industry with a professional attitude that has come a long way from the old scrap dealer image, TCD has the latest in computers systems, recording more than 30,000 top quality parts available for more than 1,500 makes and models of cars, all of which can be located at the touch of a button. DEVELOPMENT The constant striving for improvements on all levels, along with progressive technology within TCD, has given it a highproflle reputation, not only with motor and insurance companies but also with the public. Recycling of unwanted or damaged cars can be done on site. END OF LIFE DIRECTIVE An ELV is basically any vehicle that has come to the end of its useful life. The main objectives of the directive are to try to minimise the amount of waste generated from the ELV disposal process, while also reducing any adverse environmental impacts caused through current dismantling practices. BAILING FOR RECYCLING TCD also have a baler which is capable of baling 25 cars an hour. The compacted cars are then sent off for recycling. SOLAR PV IS IT STILL WORTH IT? The Feed-in-Tariff which is paid to the owner of a Solar PV system for each unit of electricity generated is reducing all the time. The government have finally managed to forge a link between the Feed-inTariff paid and the number of systems installed. The next cut due was delayed from its original date of 1st July following a slow take up in April and early May, and will now take place on the 1st August. The rate which is now at 21p per unit for a system sized up to 4kWp is only paid for properties that achieve an EPC energy rating of D or above. This EPC rating was introduced in April and forces the worst insulated properties to become more energy efficient before they can benefit from the lucrative returns of Solar PV. A typical 4kWp Solar PV system that would be installed on a home has dropped in price to only 7,500 - 9,000 in line with the Feed-in-Tariff drop so that systems still pay for themselves in less than 8 years, which with a guaranteed income for 25years means a hearty profit is available to those with the cash to invest. The August cut will see the 0-4kWp rate drop from 21p per unit to only 16p per unit but also the payment reduced from 25 years of income to only 20 years. There will undoubtedly be a further reduction in the cost of systems but the change to the payback period will make a big difference to the profits over the lifetime of the system. To be sure of the best possible returns home and business owners need to act quickly. Good quality local companies who can provide service and support throughout the life of the system will be busy in the run up to August 1st but given the number of poor quality companies closing down its certainly worth making sure that you choose an installer who will be around to service your system in the future.
