Water Detector Cord

SeaHawk Leak Detection Cable:

So Good its Patented!

What makes RLE Technologies patented SeaHawk Water Leak Detection Cable so special? Its all in the mesh. An open problem Spot-leak detectors are a good solution for confined areas such as drip pans. But these detectors fall short when organisations must deal with an open area in which fluid is difficult to predict. RLEs cable detectors work with our distance read and zone detection panels to give customers the ability to encapsulate areas of concern while also serving as reliable solutions for open floor plans. False alarms Many cable detection products suffer from a tendency to raise false alarms. A sensing cable contains two sensing wires; when liquid bridges the two wires, an alarm is set off. However, some products use a conductive polymer coating on the sensing wires; dirt or dust can build up on this coating, creating a false bridge and false alarms. Contact with metal or pressure on the cable can also set off alarms in some products. A better solution RLEs SeaHawk leak-detection cable uses a non-conductive polymer mesh that covers each of the two sensing wires. Our unique, patented design requires a fluid to penetrate the mesh covering each sensing wire to create a bridge between the two wires. This design virtually eliminates the possibility of false alarms caused by dirt, dust or contact with a metal object. Furthermore, the cables durable, flexible design helps to simplify installation and to eliminate the possibility of false alarms caused by pressure on the cable. Another benefit: SeaHawk cables are designed to dry out quickly after an event. Competitive sensing cables cover the entire cable with mesh, making the cable extremely difficult to dry. The SeaHawk leak-detection cable is quick to alarm when conductive fluid contacts the wires, but the cable can also be dried easily, allowing it to return to normal conditions without long delays.

Water Detector Cord Alarm Panels Page 19

LD300/LD1000 Single Zone Alarm Panels The LD300/LD1000 single zone water leak detection panel provides the ability to detect and report the presence of water and any conductive liquids along the length of the leak detection cable up to 300 (LD300) or 1000 (LD1000) feet per zone. In the event of water leak detection, the panel visibly (LD300) or audibly (LD1000 ONLY) annunciates the leak. If the sensing cable is cut, has a poor connection, or continuity is lost, the panel will activate a cable fault LED Fault & Alarm signals are changeover, voltage free for connection to BMS or EMS

LD1500/2100/5100 Distance Read Alarm Panels The most cost effective distance read leak detection panels are designed for simple integration into an existing monitoring system. The presence of any conductive fluid is identified with the distance to the leak. The distance to the leak can be communicated via various protocols to alarm monitoring and/or notification systems. The distance to the leak can then be determined by cross referencing the distance with a cable reference map installed adjacent to the panel. The LD1500/2000/5100 system offers distance read technology with a web interface. The system has an HTML interface that allows users to view conditions and alter configurations with any web browser. Simple System Integration The LD1500/2100/5100 panels are integration friendly to interface in a simple, straightforward manner with existing Network Management Systems (NMS) via SNMP, as well as Building Management Systems (BMS) via Modbus or BACnet. Scalability, Convenience and Reliability The LD1500 can accommodate a continuous run of up to 1500 feet (457m) The LD2100 & LD5100up to 5000 feet (1524m) and is ideal for leak detection in areas where the sensing cable may not be visible. All panels can also identify any cable breaks or disconnects. In the event of a water leak, the cable can be wiped dry, allowing the panel to return to normal conditions in a matter of seconds. Multiple LD1500s can connect to RTE Technologies LD2100 and LD5100 master panel, allowing the LD2100 or LD5100 to identify and annunciate multiple, simultaneous leaks.

Data Enabled Smoke Detectors Page 21

This model is a 9v battery operated Ionization type Smoke Detector for domestic use with internal sounder. It uses a 9V alkaline battery and has a battery missing indicator, low battery indicator A Red LED flashes at 45-second intervals to indicate the detector is operational. When smoke is detected, this will flash rapidly and the internal horn will sound. The model FID-HRLY has been designed, tested and complies to AS 3786 and listed in the ActivFire equipment, listing number afp-937. This smoke detector can be used as a stand-alone smoke detector or can be integrated with one of our Environmental Monitoring Systems These smoke detectors come with a limited 2 year warranty. When choosing a spot for the smoke detector on the ceiling, choose a sport as close to the centre as possible, at least 250mm from any wall and at least 600mm from any corner. Do not install in dead air space (e.g. mount at least 90cm from the apex of a sloping or peaked ceiling). Smoke detector alarms have decreased operational effectiveness when installed in dead air space. Easy mounting and operation

SafetyNet series 5 Environmental Monitor

Page 22

SafetyNet Series 5 Range is a set of next generation web enabled network environmental monitoring systems, delivering flexibility in configuring and viewing the monitored sensor status from remote locations. Analogue sensors supported by the device are Temperature, Humidity, AC Voltage and DC Voltage. Digital Sensors can be Smoke, Fluid, Security, or Zoned Security. These sensors are constantly monitored by SafetyNet Series 5. SMS features on SafetyNet Series 5 allows the freedom in receiving messages on your mobile phone if the monitored environment is in alarm. The SMS feature is optional and require a product version with an inbuilt modem. SafetyNet Series 5 is an SNMP agent. SNMP traps are sent when alarms are detected as well as when configuration is updated. SNMP allows polling analogue & digital sensor values periodically to store and plot the history of sensor values. As SafetyNet Series 5 is battery backed, it will not compromise situations when main power has failed. It will continue to operate upto 2.5 hrs; SMS messages shall continue to be sent. SafetyNet Series 5 contains relays which are remotely controllable as well as configurable to be driven via sensors in alarm conditions. Cold/Hot Aisle Containment

problem. We appreciate and understand all of your cooling, power and additional operational

Page 23

At ACAS Green Energy Technology, we believe in a complete solution for your data centre or comms room however we understand that that not every key fits the same hole and not all solutions fit every parameters and specialise in the design of containment solutions large and small for your data centre helping you to not only drastically reduce your running costs but by also enabling and empowering you to become more energy efficient in the long term thus reducing your carbon print, reducing emissions and substantially reducing your cooling and energy costs. ACAS Green Energy Technology design, manufacture and install containment solutions. Our containment options can be designed and fabricated with or without the presence of a raised floor, used in conjuncture with both in-row coolers and CRAC units, implemented & installed on all cabinets and can help you and your business achieve instant benefits in regards to;

Increased cooling capacity Allows for accurate cooling requirement forecasting Increased CRAC efficiencies by allowing for higher return air temperature post installation due to the reduction in dissipation between hot and cold airflows Smaller Carbon footprint Heavy reductions in energy costs Increased efficiency and reduced maintenance costs Prolong and extend the life of equipment by allowing them to operate at much more efficient and less taxing levels Lower chiller running costs Cool much higher heat loads per rack with much less power draw. Can dramatically reduce energy costs, minimize hotspots and improve the carbon footprint of data centres Can be used with or without conventional raised floor cooling. It is easily retrofitted into existing raised floor data centres and works in tandem with the raised floor as well as with extreme density cooling systems to produce highly efficient cooling solutions.

Up to 20-30% reduction in chiller costs Consistently separates cold and warm areas without requiring structural changes to the data centre. A cold aisle retro fit can be implemented easily and quickly. Aisle containment has 2 distinct advantages. First, it increases the cooling capacity and energy efficiency of the cooling unit and second, the increased capacity, together with the separation of hot and cold air, makes it possible to cool higher heat loads per rack.

Cold Aisle Containment with internal cooling can cool more than 30kw per rack.

Post inspection by a qualified ACAS Green Energy Technology delegate, a containment solution will be communications room, our solution can be seamlessly integrated and retro-fitted on site. A qualified ACAS Green Energy Technology installation specialist will seal off your aisles using clear Acrylic sheeting and treated aluminium extrusions. Using Velcro, the fully assembled system is free floating and is also easy removal if needed. Each component is free to thermally expand or contract at its own rate, eliminating waves or deflections and maintaining the structural properties of the material. This technical superiority is appreciated through a wide range of quality installations throughout the world. By choosing a ACAS Green Energy Technology containment solution, you are making a choice to only cool a targeted area; rather than aimlessly pumping cold air (at your expense) into a general area thus eventually and inevitably allowing it to dissipate and mix with the hot air generated at the rear of your cabinets Cold aisle containment better addresses the task of separating hot and cold air while supplying cold air to the servers. CAC has a focused cooling approach and can be used with or without conventional raised floor cooling. The benefits from a Cold Aisle Containment can be noticed within minutes not days. We can supply both sliding door/s and swinging doors that matches your requirements.
