The 40th Plenary Assembly of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) will be held in Rio De Janeiro of Brazil between November 6 and 10, 2012. As represented every year, this year the UNA of Turkey will be represented in the plenary assembly, in which members from registered UNAs will be participating. The plenary assembly, which was previously held in 2009 in Seoul of Republic of Korea, will focus on constitution and more efficient functioning of the UNAs this year. According to the draft schedule, on the 6th of November there will be a special seminar on functioning of the UNAs, whereas on the 7th of November there will be a private session for heads of delegations. Between the 8th and 10th of November, main sessions will be held. We, as the UNA of Turkey, attribute great significance to WFUNA Plenary Assembly, as new UNA members stand as candidates and will succeed the present members of WFUNA Executive Board, whose terms of office have terminated. Mr. Cemil zgl, Ph.D., worked as a member of the WFUNA Executive Board between 2000 and 2006. Including the head of delegation, 5 main representatives, 5 alternates and 5 youth delegates can participate in the plenary assembly. If you also would like to join in the delegation as a member, please contact the secretariat of our Association.
