The European Sustainable Energy Week offers an interview with MEP, Sven Giegold, on Twitter.

Citizens chat for one hour with the inspiring politician about current issues. On the 20th of June there will be an open interview with MEP, Sven Giegold within the framework of Sustainable Energy Week 2012. The twitterview, as interviews conducted through the social networking site Twitter are colloquially known, will take place between 16:30 and 17:30 next Wednesday, 20th of June. The European Commission, the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) and campaign partners 'Sustainable Energy Europe' support this initiative. This twitterview is a great opportunity to ask the European politician all of those energy related questions that they might have and to read their answers in less than 140 characters, something that seems difficult for the MEP who has such a gift with words. Sven Giegold shone in Berlin at the TEDxChange conference1 about the changes that Germany has made in terms of sustainability in the last thirty years. In short, an inspiring message of change which is sure to be repeated in the twitterview during European Sustainable Energy Week 2012. Sven Giegold (@sven_giegold). MEP, inspiration for many. European Sustainable Energy Week 2012. One of the most important events in the energy world is just around the corner. From the 18th to the 22nd of June 2012 the sixth edition of European Sustainable Energy Week will be held. Its objectives are clear: to demonstrate, promote, analyze and celebrate energy efficiency and renewable energy. Since the first edition in 2006 to the present theres been a big increase in terms of events and participants. The first edition had a just one debate in Brussels, whereas if we go back to 2010, over 300 events were held and last year this figure reached 700 with more than 30,000 participants, not only at European level which endorsed the development of this commitment to ecological, social and economic development. 2012 may be the year to overcome the barrier of 1,000 events. European Sustainable Energy Week is the key annual event to enhance the achievement of the objectives set in 2008 by the European Union to reduce greenhouse gases and show support for renewable energy.
