CYBER-SHIP. INT. CONVERSION CHAMBER. EXT. DUSK. The outside of the conversion chamber is a blank, lifeless, metallic, grey corridor. One by one hundreds of new born CYBERMEN start to walk out. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. The LEADER turns to his SCOUT. CYBER-LEADER What are our numbers now? CYBER-SCOUT #1 Seven million and rising. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Weapons are back online. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Eight million. CYBER-SHIP. INT. CONVERSION CHAMBER. EXT. DUSK. More and more CYBERMEN walk into shot, an endless army of CYBERMEN. CA BIN. INT. DUSK. LOLA Fine. Ill tell you my story. SARAH Start with where you come from. LOLA I think when is a more appropriate question. The DOCTOR sits up and suddenly stares at her, paying more attention. SARAH Okay, when do you come from then? LOLA Certainly not the present. DOCTOR Id already guessed as much. LOLA Im like you, Im from the future.

DOCTOR You knew didnt you? When I was talking about Volga you knew! LOLA Yeah I did. In my time the Cyber war has been over for 200 years. DOCTOR And then this part of cyber-history was discovered. LOLA We had a copy of their files, I reviewed it, and me coming here could avert the entire Cyber-war. SARAH So, how did you know how they were going to do it? LOLA It was from a cyber-computer. DOCTOR Cyber-Planner. Their called Cyber-Planners. LOLA Whatever, anyway, I found this plan. Make them extinct here, no war, billions saved. DOCTOR Its a commendable plan, Lola. LOLA I am Admiral, Admiral Shaloty of the Orion Nebula star fleet. SARAH Someone is a bit proud. DOCTOR Admiral is a very good rank. SARAH I know that, Im just saying. LOLA I told my Commanding Officer and he sent me back here, infiltrate and prevent. I made an impression, they made me President. My plan changed.

DOCTOR Then we turned up. LOLA No. I realised I could use it as a very powerful position, but the people loved the saviours,and to keep the power I had to pretend to agree. DOCTOR Youve played everyone on this planet. LOLA Even the great Doctor of Gallifrey. DOCTOR I always knew something was wrong. LOLA You should help me. DOCTOR I expect mass conversion has already happened. LOLA Then we take out the shuttle. DOCTOR I will not allow the time-line to be changed. LOLA Youre with me or against me. SARAH Then were against. LOLA I can change it. DOCTOR No you cant because it will now directly affect your personal past. LOLA So. DOCTOR You change your own personal history.

SARAH And that could destroy the universe. DOCTOR Or worse. LOLA I dont believe you. SARAH Time isnt a thing to be taken lightly. DOCTOR Indeed. SARAH Its too complex to be taken at face value. LOLA Nothing will happen, the future will change. DOCTOR And your past. That is where the problem with your plan is, that is why only someone on Lonsis can change the future, so that it doesnt create these complicated loops. LOLA I will complete my mission. DOCTOR I wont let you! LOLA pulls out her gun. LOLA Not a decoy this time, Doctor. DOCTOR I know. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. CYBER-SCOUT #1 looks at his LEADER. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Conversions complete. CYBER-LEADER How many units?

CYBER-SCOUT #1 Twenty million successes with three million rejections. CYBER-LEADER Survival is no longer an issue. We will go on. We have an army. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Cyber-guns are responding fully and are online. Power levels increasing rapidly. CYBER-LEADER Victory of the Cybermen. Lonsis has successfully been colonised. CYBER-SCOUT #2 The new units have activated the order protocol unit. CYBER-LEADER Send four of them after those who escaped earlier. We will still obtain the information from the Doctor to maximise survival chances. CABIN. INT. DUSK. The DOCTOR walks towards LOLA. DOCTOR They have an army now Lola, one gun cant defeat an army. LOLA They have an army, their weapons are back online. DOCTOR Precisely, thats another flaw in your idiotic plan. LOLA I dont see you doing anything better. SARAH Not blowing up the universe seems like a better plan to me. DOCTOR And me.

LOLA Melodramatic. DOCTOR I promise you its not. SARAH How do you intend on destroying the ship? LOLA The self destruct button. DOCTOR That shuttle is going to be crawling with Cybermen. SARAH They wont let you anywhere near it. Five energy sparks fly past LOLAs head and hit the back wall causing a spark. SARAH lets out a little scream. LOLA turns around and sees four CYBERMEN stood there. LOLA fires, the ray hits one of the CYBERMEN and their chest plates explode completely causing them to scream out in pain. LOLA (To the DOCTOR and SARAH). Back! Get back! The DOCTOR kicks the table over and drags himself and SARAH behind it. LOLA steps backwards firing, energy rings fire in her direction causing explosions on the walls. LOLA ducks behind the table too. DOCTOR I had a feeling theyd come after us. Energy rings fly over the table. LOLA You didnt exactly say anything, did you?! DOCTOR Well, I wasnt a hundred percent sure. One of the rings hits the table. Part of the table shatters. SARAH squeals again. LOLA Too much smoke for a clear shot.

DOCTOR Cant you see their outlines? LOLA Im not risking my head in looking. The firing stops. DOCTOR I expect their here to kill you to collect me. LOLA Oh really Doctor, I had already guessed that. DOCTOR The Leader said he was going to get that information. SARAH I suspect their waiting for a clear shot too. LOLA turns, while seated, and peers over the broken table but instantly ducks. The energy rings spark off the wall. LOLA I cant let you give them the information. DOCTOR Then youd better start shooting. LOLA takes the clip out of her class seven BLASTER and reloads it with a new clip from her other pocket. LOLA Five shots left, Doctor. LOLA holds her gun and stares at the ceiling, whispering something, she holds the cross necklace shes wearing. LOLA May God have mercy on my soul. LOLA peers up and fires. Another chest unit explodes causing the CYBERMAN that was hit to scream in pain. She ducks again from the two energy rays. LOLA Two to go.

Another energy ray hits the table. The table explodes into little pieces, LOLA quickly gets a shot in. One CYBERMAN remains. The DOCTOR pulls SARAH out of the way, and they take cover out of the firing solution. LOLA stands and aims for the final CYBERMAN. LOLA Are you feeling lucky? CYBERMAN You could become like us. LOLA Not going to happen Im afraid. LOLA pulls the trigger of her gun. Nothing happens. LOLA What? LOLA tries again, nothing. LOLA Shoot! LOLA tries again and again and again but still nothing. LOLA My guns jammed! CYBERMAN Mine isnt. DOCTOR You must have put the clip in wrong. LOLA Great timing me. CYBERMAN You will accompany me onto the Cyberman shuttle craft. She will become like us and the one identified as the Doctor will finally give our Leader the answers we need for future dominance. LOLA I would rather die than become like you. CYBERMAN You will never die. Remove the weapon.

LOLA throws the gun on the floor. She kicks it away, towards the DOCTOR. The CYBERMANs eyes are fixed on LOLA. The DOCTOR picks up the gun unnoticed and removes the clip. He empties the clip into his pocket and takes out a silver-powder like substance in a test tube. The DOCTOR fills up the clip with this new silver powder and closes the clip. The powder oxidises and expands filling up the clip. He quickly places the clip back in the gun. The CYBERMAN turns to him quickly at this sound, but nothing appears unusual, the gun is out of sight. The CYBERMAN turns back to LOLA. SARAH (Whispering). We could try and make a break for the TARDIS, Doctor. DOCTOR (Whispering). We have to make sure Lola is incapacitated of harming the time-line. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. CYBER-SCOUT #2 is examining a star chart. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Ice Planet identified as Telos. CYBER-LEADER Inhabited? CYBER-SCOUT #2 By a race of creatures called the Cryons. They have built freezer-like tombs. CYBER-LEADER If Cybermen were to enter those tombs then survival will no longer become an issue ever again because there will always be Cyber-reserves. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Should an invasion squad be prepared? CYBER-LEADER Affirmative. Telos will become our new home-world. CYBER-SCOUT #2 We have also found a new method of taking the twin planet.

CYBER-LEADER Explain. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Scans show a base on the planets moon that contains weather control apparatus. If we could capture that we can exploit their emotion of fear and they will become converted without any resistance. CYBER-LEADER Your logic is correct. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Two squadrons will be prepared. CYBER-LEADER This shuttle will take Telos. Three smaller vessels in the hanger will be sent to the moon. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Affirmative. CYBER-LEADER Report the plan to the Cyber-Controller. CABIN. INT. DUSK. The CYBERMAN walks fully in. CYBERMAN I heard what you were whispering about. Explain what the concept of TARDIS is. DOCTOR My space ship. CYBERMAN You will specify the location of your craft. DOCTOR (Lying). On the other side of the city. CYBERMAN You will not lie. DOCTOR You cant tell if I am or not.

CYBERMAN The three of you will move ahead of me. SARAH So much for my TARDIS idea. LOLA puts her hands on her head and walks out. The DOCTOR and SARAH do the same. The CYBERMAN follows with his gun pointed at them. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. TELOS is on display on the small scanner screen. CYBER-SCOUT #2 marches back in. CYBER-SCOUT #2 The Cyber-Controller has specified that he will be on the Telos mission and put into suspended animation. CYBER-LEADER I will lead the mission to Earth. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Plans have begun to reconstruct the tombs so they are more accustom to us. CYBER-LEADER Pre-reports and investigations into Telos has begun. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Five million seven hundred thousand and ninety two Cryons on the planet. CYBER-LEADER They will be eradicated. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Dividing which unit goes on which mission has begun. Twenty not be Lonsis Twenty CYBER-LEADER two million Cybermen will present on this mission. will be inhabited by two million.

CYBER-LEADER A second Cyber-Leader shall be specified to remain on Lonsis to further colonise the universe. CYBER-SCOUT #1 A new converter will be required. LOLA walks in, followed by the DOCTOR, SARAH and a CYBERMAN. CYBER-LEADER We have one. LOLA What? CYBER-LEADER Her personality suggests traits of an efficient Leader. She will become the second Cyber-Leader. LOLA What?! No! No! I will not become a Cyberman! CYBER-LEADER You are not becoming a Cyberman. You are becoming a Cyber-Leader. LOLA is carried out, literally, by a CYBERMAN kicking and screaming. DOCTOR Good result, really. SARAH Shell be incapacitated. The CYBER-LEADER walks over to the DOCTOR. CYBER-LEADER Doctor. DOCTOR Didnt expect to be back on here so soon, did you expect to see me so soon? CYBER-LEADER It was a likely outcome. SARAH We should have got out of here while we had the chance.

DOCTOR We had to incapacitate Lola. SARAH Look where it got us. CYBER-LEADER Now you have no choice but to answer our questions. DOCTOR Is that Telos on your scanner? CYBER-LEADER Your stalling will not work a second time, Doctor. It is illogical that you try again. DOCTOR I think you should colonise Telos. In the future. CYBER-LEADER You know our future. DOCTOR Yes. CYBER-LEADER Is Telos a success? DOCTOR Yes, colonisation was a success for your kind. You went into tombs, with that youll never be extinct. CYBER-LEADER Then the Telos plan will defiantly happen. DOCTOR You should also launch an attack on Earths moonbase. Three Cyber-ships and a large laser canon. CYBER-LEADER Is the mission a success? DOCTOR (Lying). Yes. You take control of the moon and with it the Earth.

CYBER-LEADER Then the moon mission will go ahead. DOCTOR Good. CYBER-LEADER You have allowed us victory. DOCTOR Im just telling you what happened. Nothing new. CYBER-LEADER Move onto the topic of defeats. It is those that are judicial to survival. DOCTOR (Lying). The only defeat the Cybermen ever encountered already happened. Mondas. CYBER-LEADER Then we do survive. DOCTOR Forever and ever. CYBER-LEADER This means our mission will be forever. DOCTOR Nothing can stop the Cybermen. CYBER-LEADER We have one weakness. DOCTOR Gold. CYBER-LEADER How do we beat it? No reply. CYBER-LEADER How do we beat it? The DOCTOR stares blankly. CYBER-LEADER How do we overcome gold, Doctor?

Still no response. The CYBER-LEADER points at SARAH. A gun is aimed at her head. CYBER-LEADER You value this woman? DOCTOR Dont you hurt her. CYBER-LEADER Then you will tell us what we want to know. DOCTOR I cant tell you that. Ill betray millions of people in the future. CYBER-LEADER Friendship is a weakness. DOCTOR I will not tell you! CYBER-LEADER You will tell us, or the female dies! CYBER-SHIP. INT. CONVERSION CHAMBER. EXT. DUSK. LOLA, now knocked out, is strapped into the conversion bed by a CYBERMAN. The tools are by the side of the CYBERMAN. CYBERMAN Conversion beginning. The chemical is injected into her vein, the chemical moves up into her brain. CYBERMAN Chemical injected. Beginning brain removal. Close up on CYBERMAN helmet. Sound of scalpel cutting head and sawing around. Blood splatters on the helmet. And again, and again, and again. The helmet is now more red than silver. The sound of brain crunching begins. There are now small pink splatters mixed in with the red splatters. The emotionless cold face doesnt even care. The camera zooms out. The body, head cut open is now strapped on the bed, blood pouring out extremely fast. The brain is in a jar, with wires plugged into it and into a computer. The computer is flashing.

CYBERMAN Beginning software installation. Conditioning has begun. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. The gun gets closer to SARAHs head. SARAH Dont tell him Doctor. DOCTOR Gold is difficult substance. However, there are other substances similar to gold, and these can be placed in guns. CYBER-LEADER You are not giving me the information required, Doctor. DOCTOR Build up, man, build up. You have no sense of occasion! One common substance in the universe with these characteristics is poly carbide datroxine chloride. Its only found in the Orion Nebula. CYBER-LEADER Is this what saves us? DOCTOR Im still on build up! And this is a powder, like gun powder. SARAH turns to the DOCTOR, hope in her eyes. DOCTOR Its just as harmful to Cybermen. The new CYBER-LEADER walks in, past the DOCTOR, followed by CYBER-SCOUT #2. DOCTOR Im guessing you were LOLA. CYBER-LEADER #2 I have been informed of requirements of the plan. It will be carried out. CYBER-LEADER Affirmative, carry on with the gold solution Doctor.

DOCTOR Gun powder can be used in guns. The DOCTOR pulls out the class seven blaster and fires at the CYBERMAN who has the gun on SARAH. The laser destroys the chest unit. The DOCTOR turns and fires at the original LEADER. The original LEADERs chest unit explodes, green goo flies everywhere. All the CYBERMEN in the room turn and stare at the body of their fallen commander. In all the hurry the DOCTOR and SARAH are nowhere to see. CYBER-LEADER #2 Send Cybermen after them. They will be recaptured and processed immediately. They will not evade conversion. CYBER-SHIP. EXT. DUSK. The DOCTOR and SARAH are off the ship, running away. Two CYBERMEN appear in the door of the shuttle and fire. The ground around the running pair has small explosions. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. The new LEADER is already giving orders. CYBER-LEADER #2 Aim the shuttles firing solution at the ground around them or the legs. Do not aim above the legs. Their conversion will happen. Their brains will be in tact. CYBER-SHIP. EXT. DUSK. The DOCTOR and SARAH are still running. DOCTOR Come on Sarah, we have to get away! SARAH is running out of breath. SARAH I cant keep up! The shuttle turrets come out of port. DOCTOR Look, turrets, we have to keep going, back to the TARDIS!

The DOCTOR takes SARAHs hand and they carry on running. The shuttle turrets fire. There a larger explosions on the floor. SARAH squeals. Another explosion, another scream. They keep running. The turret changes aim to keep up with running. It fires again. The explosion is right behind SARAH. She falls dragging the DOCTOR down with her. Her leg is cut. SARAH Ow... my ankle... Doctor... The turret is directly at them. The DOCTOR picks up SARAH, carrying her with the aid his scarf, he runs with her in his hand, explosions all around. CYBER-SHIP. EXT. DUSK. The CYBER-SCOUT #1 turns to his new LEADER. CYBER-SCOUT #1 They are out of range. CYBER-LEADER Then they have escaped, they will be recaptured in time. TARDIS. INT. SECONDARY CONSOLE ROOM. INT. DUSK. The doors open. The DOCTOR walks in carrying SARAH. He places her seated on the chair. He walks over to the wooden console. He flicks a switch and the doors close in on themselves. DOCTOR Well, we escaped. SARAH You had that planned out all along, didnt you?! DOCTOR Ever since Lola kicked the gun to me. I knew the substance was also fatal to Cyberman, to similar to gold not to be. SARAH We could have escaped there and then, my leg would be fine if we did. DOCTOR The only way to stop Lola was to have her become like them. I had to make sure that happened.

SARAH And then you got us out of there, just. The DOCTOR starts fiddling with more switches. The engine noises of the TARDIS starts. SARAH Doctor, the stuff you told the Cyber-Leader... DOCTOR Telos was true, but the moon attack, it fails because of the gravitron. I lied. SARAH Your lies saved the time line. DOCTOR Yes it did. SARAH Good job, Doctor. DOCTOR Thank you, Sarah. SARAH But the never defeated stuff... DOCTOR Youve witnessed them defeated. SARAH The nerva beacon. DOCTOR You know that was a lie. SARAH Your lies may have saved our lives. DOCTOR They always do Sarah, they always do. SARAH Where are we going now? DOCTOR This time I will get us to Nightshade, you can bet your life on it.

He walks over to her, takes a five pound note out of his pocket and hands it to her, and she takes it. DOCTOR There, lived up to the bet. SARAH Thanks, Doctor. They stare at each other, bursting out with laughter. CYBER-SHIP. INT. BRIDGE. DUSK. The CYBER-SCOUT #1 talks to the LEADER. CYBER-SCOUT #1 The twenty million Cybermen are off this ship. CYBER-LEADER #2 Prepare the smaller crafts with the correct amount of Cybermen. CYBER-SCOUT #1 It will be done. CYBER-LEADER #2 You shall be the Commander of the Moonbase mission. I will remain on Lonsis to work on the continued development of the Cyber-race. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Affirmative. CYBER-LEADER #2 The tomb squad will take plans for the Cybermat breed that is currently in design. CYBER-SCOUT #1 exits. CYBER-LEADER #2 (To SCOUT #2) You will become Cyber-Lieutenant. CYBER-LEADER #2 We wail exit the ship now to further prepare the city for final colonisation of the planet. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Affirmative. The CYBER-LEADER walks out. CYBER-SCOUT #2 follows. The bridge is empty for a few moments, until CYBER-SCOUT #1 re-appears with more CYBERMEN who take up posts. They start flicking switches and pressing buttons. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Preparing for take off. CYBERMAN Ignition online. CYBERMAN #2 Pressure online. CYBERMAN #3 Gravity responding. CYBERMAN #2 Engines online. CYBERMAN Landing gear stabilised. CYBERMAN #3 Engines fired up. The sound of the shuttles engines now dominates the room. CYBER-SCOUT #1 Begin countdown.

22.

CYBER-SHIP. EXT. DUSK. CYBER-LEADER #2 and CYBER-SCOUT #2 walk away from the shuttle, marching at a continued pace in a straight direction. CYBER-LEADER #2 Victory of the Cyber-race. They continue their march. The main shuttle lifts up into the air. It hovers in the sky for some time. CYBER-SCOUT #2 Tertiary ships are now exiting the shuttle. Three smaller, flying saucer, shaped shuttles exit the main one, spinning around in mid-air. CYBER-LEADER #2 The mission has begun. The three discs fly off into outer space, extremely fast, leaving the main shuttle to hover for a while until it flies off in a separate direction. CYBER-SCOUT #2 What are the orders for if we discover the Doctor? CYBER-LEADER #2 He is now an enemy of the Cyber-race. All enemies of the Cyber-race must be eradicated. THE END.
