Unison Scriptures
7:30 a.m. Genesis 27:38-41 (NIV)
Esau said to his father, Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father! Then Esau wept aloud. 39His father Isaac answered him, Your dwelling will be away from the earths richness, away from the dew of heaven above. 40You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will throw his yoke from off your neck. 41Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.
38
came and bowed down. Last of all came Joseph and Rachel, and they too bowed down. 8Esau asked, What do you mean by all these droves I met? To find favor in your eyes, my lord, he said. 9But Esau said, I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.
Samuel did what GOD told him. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the town fathers greeted him, but apprehensively. "Is there something wrong?" 5"Nothing's wrong. I've come to sacrifice this heifer and lead you in the worship of GOD. Prepare yourselves, be consecrated, and join me in worship." He made sure Jesse and his sons were also consecrated and called to worship.
4
When they arrived, Samuel took one look at Eliab and thought, "Here he is! GOD's anointed!" 7 But GOD told Samuel, "Looks aren't everything. Don't be impressed with his looks and stature.

UNISION SCRIPTURE
Unison Scriptures
I've already eliminated him. GOD judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; GOD looks into the heart." 8Jesse then called up Abinadab and presented him to Samuel. Samuel said, "This man isn't GOD's choice either." 9Next Jesse presented Shammah. Samuel said, "No, this man isn't either." Jesse presented his seven sons to Samuel. Samuel was blunt with Jesse, "GOD hasn't chosen any of these." 11Then he asked Jesse, "Is this it? Are there no more sons?" "Well, yes, there's the runt. But he's out tending the sheep." Samuel ordered Jesse, "Go get him. We're not moving from this spot until he's here." 12Jesse sent for him. He was brought in, the very picture of health bright-eyed, good-looking. GOD said, "Up on your feet! Anoint him! This is the one." 13Samuel took his flask of oil and anointed him, with his brothers standing around watching. The Spirit of GOD entered David like a rush of wind, God vitally empowering him for the rest of his life. Samuel left and went home to Ramah.
10
Esau seethed in anger against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him; he brooded, "The time for mourning my father's death is close. And then I'll kill my brother Jacob."
41
Then Esau looked around and saw the women and children: "And who are these with you?" Jacob said, "The children that God saw fit to bless me with." 6-7Then the maidservants came up with their children and bowed; then Leah and her children, also bowing; and finally, Joseph and Rachel came up and bowed to Esau. 8Esau then asked, "And what was the meaning of all those herds that I met?" I was hoping that they would pave the way for my master to welcome me." 9Esau said, "Oh, brother. I have plenty of everythingkeep what is yours for yourself."

UNISON SCRIPTURES
Jacob looked up and saw Esau coming with his four hundred men. He divided the children between Leah and Rachel and the two maidservants. He put the maidservants out in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph last. He led the way and, as he approached his brother, bowed seven times, honoring his brother. But Esau ran up and embraced him, held him tight and kissed him. And they both wept.
Biographical Sketch
Wesley Walker has been an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ since his baptism at 5 years old. He has participated in the Little Warriors for Christ, Youth Ushers, Church School, and Drama Mime ministries, as well as a member of the Confirmation Class of 2007. Wesley was recommended to serve as the Youth Member-at-Large on the Leadership Council and served in that position for 3 years. Seen as full of compassion and speaking out on the issues that affect the youth of the church, Wesley was asked to serve on the Justice Watch Team as a voice representing the youth. He also participated in the first inter-generational panel discussion on the issues within the African-American community with Attorney James Montgomery. In addition, Wesley wrote for and edited the churchs community newsletter. Wesley was consecrated as a Junior Deacon in 2009, and has taken that position seriously. He has gone with adult Deacons to serve communion to the sick and shut-in, and has participated in the corner prayer services and other junior deacon responsibilities. He utilizes his strong belief in God to serve as a big brother or confident to many of the youth, both within the walls of his church and in his school. When speaking to Wesley, you can clearly see that he believes a high standard of education, strong moral and ethical values, and a strong belief in the living Gods Word are the keys to success for young people. Wesleys goals are to live the Micah 6:8 life: to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God. Wesley credits his life to his parents Cornelius Walker and Tiffany Brown Walker; grandparents, Rudolph and Allene Brown, and great-grandparents, Allen and Celia Craft. He also believes in being a living role model for his little sister, LaNyah Walker. In August 2012, Wesley will begin his collegiate career at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, where he will study biology while pursuing a minor in theology.

2012 Trinity UCC Theme Walking, Talking and Living Our Faith, Ephesians 4 (NLT)
January Ephesians 4:1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. February Ephesians 4:2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each others faults because of your love. March Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. April Ephesians 4:4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. May Ephesians 4:5-6 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all. June Ephesians 4:7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. July Ephesians 4:11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. August Ephesians 4:12 Their responsibility is to equip Gods people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. September Ephesians 4:13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of Gods Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. October Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We wont be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. November Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. December Ephesians 31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be at your back. May the sunlight of Jesus Christ grace your cheek, And may rain gently fall upon your field. May God keep you in the hollow of Gods Hand until we meet again.
Go in peace.
