General Information
Payment Terms and Conditions
We are not at all interested in carrying past due accounts,
therefore our credit policies provide only for payment by
credit card.
Per Order Credit Card Account
This account applies to all new accounts, as well
as those who spend $5,000 or less on an annual
basis. A charge is made to your Visa, Master Card,
American Express or Discover at the time your order
is billed and shipped. A receipt will print as part of
the order’s invoice, which will also be included with
the shipment. All declines will delay shipment of the
order until a valid credit card is charged.
Weekly Credit Card Account
This account is for those who exceed approximately
$5,000 annually. A statement of the account’s
activity is produced each Monday for all orders
shipped through the end of the business day on
Friday with an automatic charge to your Visa, Master
Card, American Express or Discover each Friday
for that week’s orders. All declines may cause
the suspension of shipping of orders and/or the
withdrawal of weekly charge privileges.
In-Lab Times
The seasonal nature of our business and special problems
with some orders cause in lab time to vary from time
to time. Take these variables into consideration when
promising your customers their orders. Please give them
a realistic date for your final delivery.
Rush Service
We offer a 100% rush for same day service for all orders
including those with artwork, color correction and/or
finishing services. The minimum order for rush service is
$24.00. Due to time of day, seasonal volume and other
variables, we may not be able to guarantee a ship today
status even with a rush charge.

Hours of Operation
Customer service is available Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Central Time. Additional hours and
days may be added during the peak seasons as needed.
Our production facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week for most of the year. Please keep this in mind,
as orders can move past the point of being changed or
cancelled at all hours of the day.
Order Cancellations and Changes
Our production facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week for most of the year. With our automated production
system, orders can very quickly move past the point of
cancellation or modification at all hours of the day. All
cancellation or change requests must be made online
through our order tracking system. Please double check
your orders for accuracy before submission.
Remakes
If there is an error in or damage to your order please
call a customer service representative so the order may
be corrected and/or replaced. Please have the order
number ready to give to the representative. Remakes will
only be done for the same finishing services and from the
original files submitted in the original order. If you wish
to make modifications to the files or services, you will
need to place a new order at your cost. Remake orders
will be shipped the same method as the original order.
Saturday delivery is available for $15.
Shipping Damage
If you receive a shipment that appears damaged, do
not refuse the shipment, but immediately inspect the
contents and contact us to get a remake order started.
We will file the necessary claim with the shipping carrier.
Shipping damage is outside our control, and we are only
responsible for replacing the product on our normal
production time line with our standard shipping methods.
You are responsible for any rush charges or expedited
freight expense on shipping damage remakes.
Pricing
All pricing is subject to change without notice. The most
current pricing is always available at pro.whcc.com.

Refunds
We reserve the right to remake any product a client finds
unsatisfactory or at our discretion issue credit to an
account in lieu of making a refund. A credit will be made
as credit on your WHCC account, not as a credit back to
your credit card.
Minimum Order Charges
We have a minimum charge of $12.00 on most orders.
Orders may not be combined to prevent a minimum
order charge. Each and every order form and number will
stand on its own.
Paper
We use only Kodak Professional Endura Papers for all
photographic printing. We offer three surfaces, Lustre,
Glossy and Metallic. Not all surfaces are available on all
products.
Trimming Mounted and Unmounted Prints
Orders requesting trimming of the final product to a size
not offered can be accommodated with a $1.00 per cut
per print trimming fee. We will not make assumptions and
orders that are received untrimmed will not be remade if
trimming was not requested. Custom sized masonite will
require a $10 masonite trim charge.
Print Cropping, Borders and Sizes
We use the latest, most state-of-the-art digital
photographic printers and printing presses. They are,
however, still machines and all have tolerances in how
they move paper during the printing process. To prevent
thin white lines from appearing on your prints, every
image is slightly enlarged when printed onto the paper.
This means you will lose a little of your image around
the edges. The amount and location lost will vary from
machine to machine and over time, so we recommend
you keep all important parts of your picture (heads, feet,
text, borders, etc) at least 1/4” from the edge.
Size of Prints and Mounting Substrates
Due to variances and tolerances in paper widths and
print sizes, most of our mount boards larger than 8x10
are slightly undersized. Any product within a length and/
or width within 1/8” of the published size is within our
paper and substrate tolerances and will not be remade.

General Information
Shipping and Delivery
Unless otherwise noted, all orders in the lower 48 states
are shipped for delivery by UPS in two business days for
no additional cost. APO/FPO shipments are available by
USPS Priority Mail at no additional cost.
Expedited Shipping
Unless otherwise noted, overnight upgrades are
an additional $3 plus 12% of order cost for Saver
(delivery with your normal UPS shipment), or an
additional $6 plus 18% for morning overnight
delivery. Overnight Saver is not available in all
areas and you will be billed for morning overnight
in this case. Saturday delivery is available for $15
and requires the purchase of morning overnight
delivery.
Drop Shipping
If you are having your order shipped to any address
other than the address on file for your account, you
will be charged a drop ship fee of $7.50. The entire
order must be drop shipped, we cannot split orders
and ship to more than one address. This basic drop
ship is for the lowest cost shipping service, which
will be USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Your invoice
will not be included in the drop shipped package. A
drop ship by Two Day Air shipping is $9.50. Overnight
shipping is available for $7.50 plus the applicable
overnight shipping charges. International drop ships
are available for $7.50 plus actual freight or postage
costs.
International Shipping
Shipping outside the United States is available
by Priority Mail International and/or Express Mail
International by the US Postal Service. Priority Mail
International has a service time of 6-10 days, and
Express Mail International 3-5 days. Both services
offer online tracking. Clients are responsible for
100% of the actual postage cost for each package.
Under no circumstances is WHCC responsible for
postage or freight on international shipments.

Photographic Prints
• All photographic prints have the filename on the
back of the print.
• Lustre, glossy or metallic papers cannot be combined
within an order.
• Prints are created with printers that expose light
sensitive paper that is then run through a chemical
process. These are real photographs, not inkjet
prints.
Corrective Services
Basic retouching, artwork, and file color correction
services are available. Basic retouching removes slight
skin imperfections such as blemishes. Basic retouching
can be ordered per file.
Artwork is quoted for projects such as extensive
retouching, head swaps, and background adjustments.
Artwork can be ordered per file. Please allow for
additional time for this service.
Per file color correction is available. We color correct the
entire file for balanced skin tones without causing blown
out or color casted highlights. When ordering color
correction, all files in the order will be color corrected.
Basic retouching, artwork, and color correction orders
can be archived to CD. Corrective Services are not
required to order an archive CD. Drop shipping is not

WHCC is a full service lab, not only providing photographic prints, but also finishing services for those prints. We offer a
variety of mounting substrates from foamboard to standout. Make your image look like a piece of art with traditional canvas
ordered loose, on masonite, or stretched over a frame. For a more contemporary mounting option, order your prints on
Standout. With its thick, lightweight, finished black edges, Standout arrives ready to hang right on the wall without a frame.

Mounting
We offer a variety of mounting substrates to satisfy whatever your finishing needs may be for any order.
Matboard
A heavyweight, dry mount board provides mounting at an
economical price. Due to the nature of fiber based board,
some warping will occur, therefore we do not offer sizes
larger than 16x20. Styrene board is a wonderful replacement
for Matboard when it comes to larger print sizes.
Styrene
Styrene is a plastic mounting board 2mm thick. Standard color
is white. We find this to be one of the best mounting substrates
available and are pleased to offer it at very economical prices.
Standout
Standout is a thick lightweight board finished with a black
plastic edge and comes ready to display with hanging
holes on the backside. The finished edge prevents us
from trimming the board to any custom sizes. Standout
is available in two depths, 3/4” and 1-1/2”, and nothing
extra needs to be done to prepare for display. 3/4” board
dimensions are undersized by 1/4”, and 1-1/2” is 1/2”
undersized. Please note, delivery times can be longer than
normal with this product.

WHCC offers a lustre coating and three textures that provide extra protection to your photographic prints. This lustre coating
not only protects, but will also give your prints a more matte look versus an uncoated print. For other ways to enhance
photographic prints choose from linen, pebble or embassy textures. These textures also help to prevent clients from
scanning your images.

Lustre Coating - Our environmentally safe, water based
coating provides protection and a slightly matte appearance
to your prints.
Machine Textures - We offer three textures on prints up to
24x30 in size. These are embossed textures that can add
dramatically to your images.
Linen - Our most popular texture, it is perfect for both
smaller and larger prints.
Pebble - A medium to heavy pebble texture, this
surface works very well for larger prints sizes.
Embassy - This surface is a combination of the linen
and pebble textures resulting in a unique and upscale
appearance to your prints.

 Proofbooks 1-2 days service time $12 minimum order

WHCC Proofbooks are multiple image contact sheets bound together with a spiral coil, a clear or frosted acetate cover, and
a black cardstock back. Proofbooks are available in vertical 8.5x11 or horizontal 11x14 sizes with options of 4, 6, 9, 12 or
20 images per page on a white, black, or gray background. Have us create a custom photographic cover for you or submit
your own custom cover. With filenames listed below each image, WHCC Proofbooks make it easy for your clients to view
their images and use this custom book as an ordering tool.

Images will be in the same orientation/aspect ratio as the files sent to us. If you want to show a 4x5 aspect ­ratio, please
crop your files to 4x5 at 300 PPI before sending them. The same goes for ­orientation; rotate files to the correct orientation
before sending them for a book.

There is no maximum number of sheets per order. If the number of sheets exceeds the amount we can bind in one book, we
will split the book into 2 or more equally sized books.

Print Fulfillment 1-2 days service time $5 shipping per order

WHCC’s Print Fulfillment is the perfect solution for small format prints that you would like shipped directly to your client.
Orders are shipped to any US address and do not include an invoice or any indicator identifying WHCC as the producer
of the order and package. Print sizes up to 11x14 on lustre paper are available with matboard as a mounting option. No
minimum order applies and orders are shipped via USPS with a minimal postage and handling fee.

There is no minimum order, only a $5 postage/handling charge for USPS shipping within the United States. A $7 shipping
option will guarantee the package ships Priority Mail.

Print sizes up to 11x14 on lustre paper are available, with matboard as a mounting option. No other finishing services or
paper surfaces are available at this time.

Covers
All press book covers are made with masonite to give the books a smooth, substantial feel. Seven cover material options
are available including black, chocolate brown and tan fabric; black, dark brown and dark red leather; and a custom printed
photo cover. Photo covers are made with a photographic print that is laminated and adhered to the masonite cover. The
photo cover allows for complete customization on the front, spine, and back of the book using your own images and
designs. Additionally, enhance the cover of your book with a photographic dust jacket or cover foil stamping. A dust jacket
is a photographic print laminated and creased to wrap around the cover of the book. It protects the cover and provides
another option to personalize your book by using images, text and graphics. Cover foil stamping allows you to place three
lines of text on the front cover in one of three places: the center of the book, the lower right corner, or the bottom center. Foil
stamping is only available on leather covers.

Papers
Like all our press printed cards and products, Press Printed Books are printed with the same HP Indigo printing technology with
liquid inks. Book pages are printed on either 100# text weight semi-gloss paper or 110# semi-gloss or pearl hinged papers.
The hinged paper allows open pages to lay flat as well as provides a thicker, more upscale paper option. Hinged paper can also
be UV coated for added protection and a glossy look and feel. Book pages are stitched together to create the book block that
is adhered to the cover using black cardstock end sheets. Books are priced as a base book with a cover and 20 printed sides.
Additional sides are available for up to a maximum of 90 sides on 100# text paper and 50 sides on the lay flat hinged paper.

Fine Art Velvet paper is 100% cotton and acid
free. It has a similar appearance and feel to a
watercolor paper and looks great with a fine art
image printed on it. Canon archival large format
ink jet printers are used to print directly onto the
Fine Art Velvet paper. Fine art velvet prints are
less resistant to scratching and damage than
traditional photographic prints and should be
handled and displayed with care.

With this web site you can get access to all types of information about your account and orders with us. You will need to
place a credit card on file for us to process your orders, and you will see a message when you login the first time explaining
how to do this.

The feature you will most commonly use is the order tracking system. Here you can see a list of current and prior orders you
have placed, see what their most current status in the lab is, and access billing and shipping information once an order has
been completed. You’ll always be able to know where your orders are and when you will be receiving them.

Ordering from WHCC

We have three primary methods of receiving orders. Two are software based solutions that allow you to do most of the work
directly within the software. Flexible, intuitive and easy to get around, both ROES.whcc and LabPrints let you quickly and
easily put together orders for us.

Each photographer has a workflow they use, and ROES.whcc or LabPrints may fit in that flow or it may not. Our FTP method
is for those who have specific workflow requirements and are very comfortable with file management, FTP and Photoshop.
No specific print ordering software is needed.

Color Management

When sending files to WHCC, it is important that each file has a valid ICC profile embedded. Without this profile, we do
not know what colorspace your files are in. Most photographers use either sRGB or Adobe RGB (1998) as a working
colorspace.

Follow the directions below to properly setup your Photoshop Color Settings.

• Open Photoshop

• Mac OS X users - Go to Photoshop in the Menu Bar > Color Settings

• Windows - Go to Edit in the Menu Bar > Color Settings

• Select a Working Space for RGB Files. You should select either sRGB IEC61966-2.1 or Adobe RGB (1998). If you are
unsure, you probably want sRGB IEC61966-2.1.

• Select “Convert to Working RGB” next to RGB under Color Management Policies.

• Check Ask When Opening and Ask When Pasting next to Profile Mismatches

Whenever you open a file saved and tagged in a color space other than your working space, Photoshop will prompt
you to convert to the working color space. If you would rather have Photoshop do this automatically for every file,
you can uncheck these boxes.

• Uncheck Ask When Opening next to Missing Profiles

Photoshop will assume every file not tagged with a color space is in your working space.

When you save your JPEGs out of Photoshop, make sure to check the “Embed Color Profile” checkbox in the Save
dialog box. Without this checked, we do not know the colorspace of your files, and you will have unpredictable color
in your prints.

 Color Management

Having your files in the correct working space is only one important part of a color management system. You need to have a
properly calibrated and profiled monitor to insure that the colors on your monitor match the colors in the prints you receive
from WHCC.

The easiest, most efficient and most accurate way to calibrate and profile your monitor is with a hardware monitor calibration
device. We use and recommend the i1Display 2 by Xrite.

This device actually attaches to the front of your monitor and reads color patches displayed by the software. Using these
readings, the software removes any color cast from your screen, helps optimize the brightness/contrast/color output and
creates a profile describing how your monitor displays color. Photoshop then uses this profile when displaying images to
give you the most accurate color display possible.

We strongly recommend the purchase of a hardware calibration device. It is an investment of a couple ­hundred dollars, but
it is the only way to get the best monitor to print match.

You should set your target Whitepoint and Gamma curve to 6500k and Gamma 2.2. These, however, are only
recommendations, you may find that your viewing environment has warmer lights, in which case you could experiment
with a Whitepoint of 5000k.
