OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

This project aims at developing a highly sophisticated environment regarding your online air-ticket booking. It will ease the work of a client/passenger in booking their tickets by just selecting the choices from the list. Online payment facility is also provided which reduces the work for a passenger to go for a cheque. Its simplicity allows even a new one to operate easily.

PLATFORM USED
Following components are used : .NET Framework C# Language SQL Database

Technical Details :This project is basically a combination of windows application and database connectivity. For example, when a client clicks on a button, control goes to the other window leaving first one aside. When he enters the pin number then it matches with the database for verification.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
In Earlier Times when internet was not in the scenario, people had to do all the work manually like finding the government resigned ticket reservation office, doing all the paper work etc. It leads to wastage of time and demands lot of efforts from the customer. It is also difficult for the Online Reservation System to maintain all the records and fulfil all the requirements of the customers due to the lack of technology.

The online reservation created for taking online test has following features : -

In comparison to the present system the proposed system will be less time consuming and is more efficient. Booking will be very easy in proposed system as it is automated. Result will be very precise and accurate and will be declared in very short span of time because calculation and evaluations are done by the simulator itself.

The proposed system is very secure as no chances of leakage of users personal information as it is dependent on the administrator only. The details of the users and their marks are stored and can be back up for future use. Online air reservation system will reduce the hectic job of buying the tickets from resigned government offices or agents. Being an integrated Online Reservation System it will reduce paper work.

FEASIBILITY STUDY

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY OF PROJECT

The project, Online Air Ticket Reservation System is technically feasible because of the following reasons : All the resources are available (i.e. manpower, software and hardware). The portal to be produced use the technology ASP.NET 3.5 using the language C# that will enable a cyber visitor to easily use the portal and to draw the visitor to explore the site. The project uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as a database in back end, a very capable database program. The proposed technology is mature enough to be easily applied. A mature technology has a larger customer base for obtaining advice concerning problems and improvements. The technical aspects of the project desired are within our capabilities to produce.

OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY OF PROJECT

Online Air Ticket Reservation System is operationally feasible because it is used by the user easily after it has been developed. The user as well as management will fill feel good while using the system: The system is going to provide lots of benefits to the users of the system, in

terms of time utilization. The system provides end-users and managers with timely, pertinent, accurate, and usefully formatted information. The system provides adequate throughput and response time. The system offer adequate service level and capacity to reduce the costs of the business or increase the profits of the business. The system offer adequate controls to protect against fraud and embezzlement and to guarantee the accuracy and security of data and information. The system make maximum use of available resources including people, time, flow of forms, minimum processing delays, and the like.

ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF PROJECT

Online Air Ticket Reservation System is economically feasible, because it reduces the expense as well as time in the manual system. We study the following factor for economic feasibility of project: Systems analysts' time Cost of systems study Estimated cost of hardware Cost of packaged software/software development The Online Air Ticket Reservation System analysiss time consume less as compared with the existed system and the estimated cost of hardware is less then the existed system. After studying cost/benefit analysis, we came to know that project can be done within given cost constraints. Management has also approved to develop the new system, Difficulties such as discovering and assessing benefits and costs; they can both be intangible, hidden and/or hard to estimate, it's also hard to rank multi-criteria alternatives are also studied. Furthermore, although we hoped to exhaust the potential list of project costs, there will

likely be items that we must purchase that we did not expect.

ABSTRACT OF PROJECT
Online testing is a website on which people can upload the test for various categories like Aptitude, Reasoning, English etc. and students can give the test and check the history of their tests. The website aims to provide complete information using the following mechanisms: Authorized persons can change flight details. Customers can view the details of various flights and then decide to choose any one. Customers can check their booked flight details anytime after the booking of the ticket. Administrator can validate the uploaded flight details and they can be viewed by others.

MODULES
Search Info :
Through this module guest user can view information i.e. details of the various flights and their schedule.

Book a ticket :
Customers can book a ticket from the various available flights and any airlines he wishes to use. Payment can be done online.

Cancel a ticket :
Customers who have booked their ticket(s) can even cancel their journey and their money will be refunded.

Administrator:
This is the Administrators module by which he keep the eye on whole site and maintain and upgrade the sites service for sake of users. Administrator takes care of the flight details after they are available to the customers.

MARKET VIABILITY :
Its market viability is given as follows:1) It is easy to operate and maintain. 2) Customers can pay online which is very exclusive an time saving task. 3) It can be used in selection among various flights. 4) A large amount of paper and time can be saved by using this software.
