Madam Executive Director; For the last 12 months, I would like electronic copies of all emails sent to/from any/all Chairman Keith Emery's DBHA associated email account(s). A day later, March 26, 2012, I received the following reply: The Deerfield Beach Housing Authority is in receipt of your request. Today, I finally acquired those emails in question, in total less than five, and I would direct your attention to the following: Date: Wed, 18 May 2011 10:47:23 From: Keith Emery To: Cardra M. Robinson Subject: RE: Public Records Request I sent you the only emails in Keith's folder. We do not save DBHA emails for any length of time due to the influx of email our company receives. As our email service is not furnished by the DBHA, Mr. Emery deems it unnecessary to save meeting minutes, etc. You should have a log of all emails sent from the DBHA to Mr. Emery. Florida's public records law, listed in Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, defines public records as: "All documents, papers, letters, maps, books, tapes, photographs, films, sound recordings, data processing software or other material, regardless of physical form, or characteristics, or means of transmission, made or received pursuant to law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by any agency." E-mails created or received by public officials in connection with official business, which perpetuates, communicates or formalizes knowledge, is subject to the public records law and open for inspection. The General Records Schedule for State and Local Government Records policy for retention of emails is: 1. Retain Until Obsolete, Superseded, or Administrative Value is Lost. 2. Retain for Three Fiscal Years: General correspondence, sender's inter-departmental memoranda, and most fiscal and budget records. Therefore, I opine Deerfield Beach Housing Authority Chairman Keith Emery violated Florida Statute 119.021 Custodial requirements; maintenance, preservation, and retention of public records. Given this, I respectfully request the Broward County State Attorneys Office thoroughly investigates this allegation and to the extent permitted by State or local law or regulations, any and all penalties, sanctions, or other disciplinary actions for violations of such standards be applied forthwith. Please provide our office with a case number specifically identifying this complaint in order to validate and track the investigation; thank you in advance for your cooperation. Happy hunting;

It is asking for the following:
