introductory section of the Web page on PRA documents, PRA documents are working documents which have usually been produced by an assessor whose opinion may have been commented during Panel meetings and comments have usually not been included in the PRA documents but are found in Panel meeting reports. This document consists of extracts of EPPO Meetings' discussions on Pest Risk Analysis documents on the relevant pest. Discussions on Pest Specific Phytosanitary Requirements (PSPR)1, have also been reported when relevant as they include elements on possible risk management options.
Report of the 32nd meeting of the Panel on Phytosanitary Measures (Paris, 2000-01-18/21)
4. Alert List 4.2 Alert List: Annual review EPPO countries would be invited to contribute to the Alert list. Mr Pemberton made a number of proposals for the Alert List and handed out data to the Secretariat. He noted that most of the pests proposed had been recently intercepted. The Panel briefly discussed individual cases and decided that the following pests should be added to the Alert List: Steganophora ulmea, Trialeurodes ricini, Thrips imaginis, Thrips parvispinus (provided the Secretariat finds further information), Chrysodeixis eriosoma, Aleurodicus dispersus, Neotoxoptera formosana. It also decided that more data was needed from UK on Frankliniella fusca (which may be already present in the region), and canna yellow mottle virus. Duponchelia fovealis was also proposed but it was felt that this pest of European origin was already widespread in the EPPO region. The 7 pests mentioned above would be added to the Alert List based on data provided by UK. Report of the 33rd Meeting of the Panel on Phytosanitary Measures (Paris, OIE, 2001-01-23/26) 6. Mrs Jenniskens said that pest risk assessments may be done in the Netherlands on some of them in the coming year. Mr Smith (Chairman) noted that any PRAs on pests of the Alert list were welcome. 36th meeting of the Panel on Phytosanitary Measures (Paris, EPPO headquarters, 2004-03-9/12) 8. Candidate Pests for EPPO listing 8.2 Review of pest risk assessments Chrysodeixis eriosoma. Larvae of this lepidoptera pest are highly polyphagous and feed on foliage and fruits of many field and vegetable crops, ornamentals and weeds. A PRA would be prepared by Germany for next year. Chrysodeixis eriosoma will be studied next year.
