Dear Doctor, The Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is conducting a 2-day Endocrinology Course for postgraduates and trainees in Endocrinology. This is the 3rd Amrita Course in endocrinology (ACE-2012). The meeting was held successfully in the last 3 years, and the overwhelming response encouraged us to conduct the course this year also. The focus is on giving the Endocrinology Trainee a confidence in case presentation during exams, as well as viva-voce, and to foster an interest in endocrine research. After taking feedback from last years participants, we have altered the format of the program. This year, we have removed all lectures, and we have only interactive workshops and case presentations. Interactive workshops would cover thyroid ultrasound, setting up a diabetic foot clinic and pediatric bone densitometry. Case presentation would have real-time case discussions, with long cases and short casesconducted in a manner that would be very similar to how DM/DNB endocrinology final examinations are conducted. We are thinking of 18th and 19th May, 2012 as possible dates. Registration to this course would be free. We feel this will be a forum where DM/DNB Endocrinology PGs of various institutes can meet, share, learn and also get inspired.
