Executive summary: Our Business idea to start up a firm in a metro city (Chennai) for providing Electrical and plumbing

works in an organised manner. Our target customers are all middle income and upper middle income group in Chennai. Since this is an untapped market it contains a huge potential to grow. The uniqueness of our service lies in the quality of service, flexible timing, Periodic checking, code of conduct and 24/7 service we offer. Initially we will focus on individual residents & apartments then we will grow organically to institutional services. Proposed Company Name: INSULATORS Solutions at your convenience .. Vision: To become a multinational service provider in Electrical and plumbing solutions. Mission: To attain a sustainable growth in service sector by delighting our customers through our quality service. Introduction: The major concept which drives us for this Business idea is the growth of Infrastructure in metro cities like Chennai, Bangalore etc. Infrastructure development like Malls, IT parks, Hi tech flats/ apartments, individual houses and bungalows are sowing seeds for a derived market of Plumbing and Electrical works and services. In the present scenario the Installation and servicing in Plumbing and Electrical works is been an unorganized business. Especially in servicing part, the demand is very high. To substantiate this, we went for a small observation and secondary research in few parts of Chennai like Adyar, Mylapore etc which gave a report stating that the need for trained and organized team in these works is high, because of the poor services offered by local unorganized sectors. Few of the complaints we observed was Lack of punctuality, lack of using genuine products, conduct with the customer and quality of work. So here comes the biggest opportunity for us.

Business Structure:

Strategy and process: Strategy: Since we have an existing unorganized market for this service, we want to adopt Marketing penetration strategy as per Ansoffs marketing Grid. We want to show an intensive growth in this sector by strengthening our value chain process. We will practice holistic marketing concepts here where we will focus on all aspects. Also we try coming out with market penetrating pricing to provide the expected product to the customer as per the product level hierarchy. We segmented Chennai geography into four zones and to start with we focus on 1 particular zone in the beginning. The phase 1 areas we are going to coverare Adayar, Besant Nagar, Kasthuribai Nagar, Indira Nagar, Kalashetra Colony, Thiruvanmayur, Kottivakkam & Palavakkam. We chose these places based on marketing 4As concept which talks about Affordability, Accessibility, Availability, and Awareness. In due course of 6 months we will expand our service through Chennai.

Process: Our idea is to start a firm which provides solutions for Electrical and Plumbing works, it includes both new installation and repairing services. We will be having expertise teams for plumbing and electrical works. Once when a customer needs a repairing / implementation solution they have to contact our firm through telephone or they can drop a mess / mail. Within half an hour our team will address the issue in phone and we will fix timing as per the convenience of our customer. As per the timing we will be visiting those sites and we will provide solution to them. In case of any time consuming / product replacing faults we will replace that with genuine branded part sat discounted price from over inventory with the customers consensus. In our business the Technology plays a major role. We will provide small PDAs to each solution Engineer to update and transfer data to the office. In spite of uniform & ID card to ensure the authentication of our companys solution engineer; we will provide the customer with a code number which our engineer will also carry. This ensures the trustworthiness. Also we will ensure that once when we handled a problem in a site, we will promise free service for them if they encounter the same problem. Also we will come out with AMC schemes for the benefit of customer. Technology: In our business, technology plays a major role. Two areas we are using technology they are 1 .Database Management. 2 .PDAs for Solution engineers. To implement our idea we need a landline phone connection, website, internet connection, mobile phone, PDAs, two PCs, customized software for database management etc.

Marketing Strategy: Initially to break the clutter we are going for aggressive marketing with right marketing and promotional mix. The promotion technique we have chosen is BTL promotion. They are

Pamphlets and handouts distribution in our area to all households. Conducting PR event like free service week, awareness campaign for safety etc. Our vehicles acts as a promotional tool as in the case of Domino Pizza. Banners and wall posters placement in Bus, bus stops road barricades, malls. Viral Marketing and Direct marketing. Print ads in area newspapers like Adayar Times etc. Also we will market through Just Dial, Yellow pages, Google etc.
