1. INTRODUCTION
The equipment to be provided by Delkor to Enviro Gold Ltd., Las Lagunas Project is an automatic flocculant plant to Concentrate THK designed for maximum dry flocculant consumption of 67.9 kg/day. The flocculant powder load is manual. The time of one cycle is 103 minutes and each cycle (Total maximum 14 cycles / day) consumes 4.9 kg of flocculant per batch, total 67.9 kg / day. CLIENTS SUPPLY
o

Flocculant powder inside the hopper: 300 litres, Flocculant Magnafloc 10 or equivalent with max viscosity 2000 centipoises. Fresh water: 25.5 m3/hr at 400kPa for mixing tank filling.

2. OPERATION PRINCIPLE
The operation of the flocculant plant should be made according to the following sequence that is programmed in the supplied control panel:

4. DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPONENTS

FLOCCULANT POWDER LEVEL If the low powder level alarms when the screw feeders are running, then an alarm is triggered, but the cycle can finish. If the low powder level alarms with screw feeds is stopped, an alarm is triggered and control doesnt allow to begin a new preparation cycle. In alarm presence, the operator should proceed immediately to fill the powder hopper. POWDER STIRRER The powder stirrer runs together with the screw feeder. SCREW FEEDER The screw feeder is supplied without VSD (clients scope). The speed will be adjusted in the commissioning to achieve the required 280 kg / hr of dry flocculant. FEED WATER PRESSURE The nominal pressure required for the operation of the plant is 400 kPa and must be secured by the Client If the pressure decreases below 300 kPa during the working time of screw feeder (step S1 to step S2), the screw feeder must be stopped and cycle cant continue If the pressure drops in other steps, the cycle can continue If the pressure drops between cycles, it is not possible to begin a new cycle AVAILABLE FEED WATER FLOW D332FP009

It should be 25.5 m3 / hr and must be secured by the Client

WET EDUCTOR VALVES If this valve doesn't open up when beginning the cycle (S0), the cycle cannot continue. If the valve is closed during the interval S0 to S3, the cycle should be interrupted. The required flow (fixed by manual valves supplied by Delkor during start up) is 3.7 m3/ hr. The minimum pressure in the wet eductor line is 300 kPa and must be secured by the client. FAST FILL VALVE If this valve doesn't open up when beginning the step S1, the cycle cant continue. If the valve is closed during the interval S1 to S4, the cycle should be interrupted. The required flow (fixed by manual valve supplied by Delkor during start up) is 21.83 m3/hr. TRANSFER PUMPS The start up or stop pumps conditions depend of the both levels, mixing and dosing tank. (The stand by transfer pump is part of the clients scope) The LSLL Mixing Tank level is a critical condition, the transfer pump doesnt never run dry. The capacity of each pump is 14.6 m3/h MIXING TANK LEVEL See figure No. 1 Each batch volume prepared in mixing tank is 1.94 m3. Level LSH allows to start the transfer pump and LSL must stop the pump DOSING TANK LEVEL The tank volume allows storing of at least 1 batch. The maximum level that allows to start the transfer pump is LSL If the level reaches LSH, the transfer pump must be stopped and cant start again until the level does not lower to LSL or still more down. MIXING TANK AGITATOR The mixing tank agitator runs all time

5. CONTROL PANEL
Delkor will supply a NEMA 4X Control Panel installed on the skid near the stairs. This Control Panel includes a PLC and 7 control screen.

The control screen must show the following status Pumps: (running and stand by) Stirrer Screw feeder TK levels The operator could change the following timers: Screw feeder (T1) Hydration time (T5)

Also the following selectors and buttons are provided: Start Plant: When the operator press this button, the automatic cycle is beginning. When a cycle finish, the following cycle start without press start plant. When is pulsated after stop plant and reset, a new cycle is beginning

D332FP009

Stop Plant: When the plant is running, this button allows to stop the cycle. This is a condition for an automatic plant test Cancel alarm: Reset the program. Pulsated after stop plant, start a new cycle Manual / Automatic: In manual condition each motor can start separately and in independent form thru start / stop buttons supplied by others and localized at side of each motor. This condition is for motor test, maintenance and for commissioning. In automatic mode the motors must be started according the time sequence described as above point No. 1 Emergency Stop: All motors down and electric valves must be closed

6. INTERLOCKS AND CONDITIONS

LOW POWDER LEVEL DURING CYCLE. STEPS S0 TO S1 AND S3 TO S6 Alarm press cancel alarm button in local panel and the cycle can continue The powder hopper must be refilled LOW POWDER LEVEL DURING CYCLE. STEPS S1 TO S2 Alarm The cycle is stopped The powder hopper must be refilled Press cancel alarm and start plant buttons in local panel. The cycle will begin from where it stopped. LOW WATER PRESSURE.
