Note:1. Number of posts shall be filled up as mentioned above. However, since reservation-roster is faculty based, if no candidates are available in a particular discipline, it will be filled up by another discipline of the same faculty. Therefore, more number of disciplines have been shown for the post of Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor & its equivalent. Further, the reserved posts shall be filled up as per the approval of the roster register by the Government of Gujarat. Note:2. A Ph.D. degree OR any other qualification equivalent to Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences *. * It is clarified that 'Agricultural Sciences' includes the basic and applied sciences relating to soil and water management, crop production (including production of all garden crops and control of plants, pests and diseases), horticulture, animal husbandry including veterinary and dairy sciences, fisheries, forestry including farm forestry, land use and management and economics, co-operation, processing and marketing relating to agriculture as defined in Section 2 (2) of the Gujarat Agricultural Universities Act, 2004. At least 10 years experience in teaching and/or Research and / or Extension work of which, not less than 5 years shall be in field of extension as Professor or its equivalent post. Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he / she will have to pass the said examination during the probation period, failing which, his / her services will be terminated.

Essential qualification : (a) Second Class Bachelor's degree in the concerned faculty. (b) A Master's degree in the concerned faculty with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. Ph.D. in subject related to the concerned field. An eminent scholar with published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with 10 years of experience in post-graduate teaching and / or experience in research at the University / National level institutions including experience of guiding research at doctorate level. OR An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge. In exceptional cases, the teachers with 15 years of Under Graduate Teaching / Research experience could also be considered. Out of total experience mentioned above, FIVE years of experience must be in the concerned specialized subject as an Associate Professor or its equivalent post. (e) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. Good academic record with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade at the Master's degree level in the relevant subject. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR. Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he / she will have to pass the said examination during the probation period, failing which, his / her services will be terminated.

OR Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. OR 15 years of administrative experience of which, 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he / she will have to pass the said examination during the probation period, failing which, his / her services will be terminated. Essential qualification : Graduate of any faculty of recognized University. Experience : 5 years experience in the rank of Office Superintendent. OR Total 8 years experience in the rank of Head Clerk. Age : Not more than 35 years (The age limit will be relaxed in case of the employees of Junagadh Agricultural University).

Important :
1. New defined contributory pension scheme as introduced vide Government vernacular Resolution Dated: 18/3/2005 and 6/6/2005 No. NPN-2003-GOI-10-P will be applicable in case of candidates other than the employees of Agricultural Universities of Gujarat who have been appointed prior to the introduction of this scheme. The post of SC, ST and SEBC will be filled up as per the State Government rules in all the posts. Age relaxable in case of SC, ST and SEBC as per the State Government Rules. In upper age limit, relaxation upto five years shall be admissible only to SC, ST, SEBC categories and for women candidates. The crucial date for determining the eligibility in respect of Age/ Educational Qualifications/Experience should be the closing date for receipt of application from candidates i.e. 25/06/2012. An application in prescribed proforma, available on website, www.jau.in should be filled in completely and supported with attested copies of certificates of qualifications and experience. It should be sent along with only crossed Demand Draft of State Bank of India payable at Junagadh Branch (Code No. 03251) amounting to ` 500/- (Non-refundable) in favour of "Junagadh Agricultural University Fund Account." The reserved category candidates need not to pay application fee. SEBC candidate should furnish the last financial year's "Non Creamy-layer certificate" in the prescribed proforma along with his application form, failing which the candidate will not be entitled to get the benefit of reserved category. The reservation of posts shown above is for the candidate of Gujarat origin only, therefore other candidates need not apply against these posts.
