High Tech meets High Quality. The high flexibility is one benefit of the new concept. The other is the further improvement in quality. Almost all components come from MANs proven commercial-vehicle technology. To make for easy fitting of bodies the modules are bolted together The entire chassis is subject to extensive tests in accordance with the latest MAN standard. That guarantees extremely high reliability, high economy and a long life.
Thorough strength tests: Lions Chassis complete endurance tests corresponding to the stresses and strains of 1,000,000 kilometres on the road .

Lions Chassis form the ideal basis for coaches, city buses and intercity buses that combine premium quality with innovative engineering. The electronic stability program ESP is a series feature of the coach and intercity bus versions. This, along with the EBS electronic brake system and a bodyfriendly electronic structure are all standard features of the Lions Chassis. The modular two- and three-axle chassis give body manufacturers great freedom in designing individual solutions. To achieve maximum flexibility, five module groups are available:

Driveline module

The ergonomically designed drivers work-place offers body manufacturers flexible integration options. Available in both left- and right-hand drive models.
Front axle module

The driveline can be perfectly configured with efficient common-rail engines for low-entry, intercity bus or coach chassis. The engines meet exhaust emission standards Euro 3 to EEV. Exhaust emission standard Euro 6 is available in good time ahead of the statutory deadline. Available gearboxes include manual, automated manual MAN TipMatic and automatic

Highly convenient independent wheel suspension for coach and intercity bus bodies.An optional rigid axle is also available for two-axle coach and intercity bus chassis. Low Entry chassis fitted as standard with the proven rigid axle.
