For instance, leading up to a solo I may be in Cmaj working from the 8fret C on the 6th string and want to work up to the C on the 13th fret/2nd string. Scales are taught 6th string to 1st string in the shapes of the position. I'd like to learn how to "link" together moving diagonally up the neck. Too much thinking equals lost rhythm. http://www.yourguitarsage.com/guitar-improvisation-on-major-scales-chord-noodling/ hey Erich, please would you teach: how to figure out what chords to play for a song's melody fingerpicking slide guitar thanks. you're awesome, Charlie http://www.yourguitarsage.com/guitar-fingerpicking-basics/ strum patterns, syncopated strumming http://www.unstoppableguitarsystem.com/fe/22689-video-2-strumming
