Goal
How to Create a Custom XML Template to Publish FSG Reports from General Ledger Applications.

Solution
To create a custom XML template to use with your FSG reports, we recommend starting with a copy of a seeded FSG XML template.

1. Log in to the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility and choose the Templates function. 2. Search for any templates with %FSG% in the name, and click on the template name. 3. Click on download to copy the template to your PC.This is saved as an RTF format file. 4. Open the RTF file in Microsoft Word, and modify as required 5. Save the file with a new name, in preparation for upload. 6. In XML Publisher Administrator, click on Create Template (or use the Duplicate function to create a copy of one of the existing templates, which you can then modify. You cannot modify any seeded template). 7. Give your template a name, and choose the General Ledger application. The Type is RTF. 8. Create document the template(using RG+a descriptive ending, e.g. RGPROFIT), and then choose the Data Definition "FSG Program". Rate this a code for 9. Enter a start date and, optionally, an end date and description for your template. 10. The template file is the file you created. Use Browse to locate it on your PC. 11. Choose a language and territory. If you create the initial file as English/Territory independent, you can add additional files for different languages/territories later 12. Once uploaded, test the format by publishing an FSG report using your new template 13. Please note that this is applicable for use in the standard GL applications available from the forms only and not applicable for use with Report Manager.
