From the Desk of Eugene Bly Health Awareness - Cancer Prevention Advocate Overcoming the emotional turmoil of a divorce from a 17 year marriage and left with the responsibility of providing food, clothing and shelter for 7 children at the age of 54 Odessa was ready to enjoy an early retirement of fun, travel and spending quality time with her husband and family. After several years of feeling the negative effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Odessa was left with lung damage, a loss of energy, loss of appetite, loss of hair and the inability to even walk without a cane or walker and massive burns to her body. Odessa returned from the hospital in June of 1996 knowing her dreams of fun, and spending time with those she love would not be a reality. Odessa was diagnosed with breast cancer some years back which spread to all of her major organs including her brain. This news shocked her family because if anyone deserved to enjoy life it was Odessa. On June 16, 1996 Odessa peacefully passed away at her home in Boston Massachusetts leaving behind a husband, seven children and 20 grandchildren. I grieved many years after her passing, you see Odessa was my mom and close friend. We shared many happy times together prior to her passing and I truly treasure the memories. My mom was a very spiritual person and a very special woman with a zest for life. The most difficult part of my moms sickness was witnessing a person of independence, self-reliance and inner strength become week and dependent to the point of losing the ability to write her own name or speak clearly. And the holidays have never been the same. I remember as though it was yesterday receiving the call from my step father telling me that I should come right over because mom was slowly slipping away. The day was Saturday June 15, 1996. We called the ambulance to rush her to the hospital hoping for a miracle but knowing her time had come. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, I began seeking alternative ways of helping her fight this devastating disease and prolong her life. This is the result of my research and support of cancer and disease prevention, humanitarian aid and promoting safe and effective personal products around the world.

5. SODIUM HYDROXIDE: This is a poison (caustic lye) found in drain cleaners. The warning label on sodium hydroxide products reads POISON. May be fatal or cause permanent damage if swallowed. May cause blindness. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, mouth and clothing. WHERE YOULL FIND IT: In toothpastes, baby lotions, hand and body lotion, etc. 6. TRICLOSAN: Synthetic antibacterial with a chemical structure similar to Agent Orange! The EPA registers Triclosan as a pesticide, giving it high scores as a risk to human health and the environment. It is in a class of chemicals suspected of causing cancer in humans. Tufts University, School of Medicine says Triclosan can force the emergence of super bugs that it cannot kill. WHERE YOULL FIND IT: In anti-bacterial hand wash, antibacterial toys, etc. 7. DMDM and UREA (Imidazolidnyl): Two of many preservatives that often release formaldehyde which cause joint pain, skin reactions, allergies, depression, headaches, chest pains, ear infections, chronic fatigue, dizziness, and loss of sleep. PARABENS: Studies show that parabens alkyl hydroxy parabens alpha hydroxy benzoate (methyl-, ethyl, propyl- and butyl-parabens) are weakly estrogenic. ALCOHOL, ISOPROPLYL, SD-40: Drying, irritating solvent that strips skins moisture and immune barrier, making you vulnerable to bacteria and viruses. Made from the same petroleum derivative used in shellac and antifreeze as well as personal care products. Promotes brown spots and premature aging. WHERE YOULL FIND IT: In lotions, creams, deodorants, etc. 10. MINERAL OIL: Petroleum by-product that coats the skin similar to plastic wrap, clogging the pores. Interferes with skins ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. Slows down skin function and cell development, resulting in premature aging.

Absorption of certain colors can cause depletion of oxygen in the body and death. FRAGRANCES: Can contain up to four thousand ingredients (including animal urine), many toxic or carcinogenic. Causes headaches, dizziness, allergic reactions, skin discoloration, violent coughing, vomiting, and skin irritation.
