One student-athlete in particular, Taylor McGillis, stands out among the best I have ever been around. His commitment to his academic endeavors, career aspirations and baseball success is impeccable. He represents Saint Leo University and our core values to the fullest and worth ethic is unmatched. Taylor exudes excellence in all areas as a student-athlete. He played a lead role as a student intern in our athletic department in our launch of a new student rewards program, development of promotions and identifying creative avenues to enhance the game environment for our 325 Lions student-athletes. Further as a representative on the Saint Leo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, he assisted in a wide range of community initiatives, one of which has raised over $7,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in this academic year.-- John Semeraro
