NOTICE UNDER SECTION 55 OF THE WILD LIFE PROTECTION ACT, 1972. Greetings, Please find attached here with the copy of the circular no. 72/10 issued on November 9, 2010 to all CBSE affiliated Schools by the CBSE for further necessary legal action and recovery of ban scheduled wild animal specimens from the illegal possession of all CBSE affiliated Schools and Educational Institutions in Rajasthan.

Kindly refer to the complaint lodged with the Chief Wild Life Warden of Rajasthan about the Birla Public School, Pilani for the violation of the section 9, 39, 51 and 63 because many ban scheduled wild animal specimens like Sihi, Seal, Conchs, Crocodile, Owl, Hornbills, Hawk, Green Parrot, Pythons, Reptiles, fish etc are being kept by them illegally in their bio laboratory, where as these scheduled wild animal specimens are not declared under the Declaration of Wild Life Stock Rules, 2003. Hence the UN affiliated the International Organisation for Animal Protection OIPA www.oipa.org chapter in India placed this notice under section 55 of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 before all concerned authorities for further legal action against all offenders including poacher, wild animal specimen manufacturers, traders and keeper Educational Institutions / Schools like Birla Public School, Pilani. It would be pertinent to mention here that this matter has been taken up with the office of the HE the President of India, Minister of Environment and Forest (Govt. of India), HE the Governor of Rajasthan, Honble Chief Minister of Rajasthan for further necessary directions to all concerned enforcement agencies, departmental action against all concerned field functionaries for not performing their official duties to protect wild animals and poor implementation of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 because as per orders of the Chief Wild Life Warden, Rajasthan some officials failed to recover the article due to incompetency. Where as proof of burden on the accused not for the prosecution side and Birla Public School website, which is self explanatory about the illegal possession of many ban wild animal specimens and it is the duty of the Rajasthan Police along with the Wild Life officials to recovered the ban wild animal trophies, specimens. Please constitute the committee to conduct raids and under signed is ready to be a part of investigating team in the interest of public, animals as well.
