Dear

Voters: While I dont think most people question whom my choice is in the DAs race I didnt want to leave it unstated. I worked extensively with both John Bradley and Jana Duty as a fellow prosecutor in my years at the District Attorney and the County Attorney offices and the differences are substantial. I have always found John to be one of the brightest and most capable of prosecutors in the entire State of Texas, and he actually has the award to prove it. When I served in the legislature, John was a partner with me in helping craft the Jessicas Law legislation that protects the most vulnerable among us, our children. However, he also assisted me in my participation in helping craft a bill that allowed life without parole as a choice in our death penalty cases in Texas for the first time; not necessarily a tough on crime position to take here in Texas, but the right position. Each and every time I asked John to help he was there. In all my years of working with John, both as a prosecutor and as a state representative, I can say without hesitation that he always had the Citizens of Williamson County and the State of Texas as his primary focus. The positions he takes on some issues, while they are sometimes controversial, especially to criminal defense attorneys, Austin liberals, and the Austin American Statesman, they are never politically opportunistic or hypocritical. I cannot say the same of his opponent. Dan M. Gattis Former State Representative House District 20 Williamson County
