STREET LIGHTING
Remote Monitoring and Control of Street Lighting
With GE Lighting Systems Remote Monitoring and Control of street lighting, entire street lighting systems can now be monitored and controlled remotely. By attaching a Checkpoint monitoring device directly into the fixtures photoelectric sensor receptacle, a wireless transceiver within the checkpoint communicates over the internet. System operators are now able to reduce maintenance loss and improve service levels as failures are immediately identified. Compared to existing methods of collecting, recording and communicating information on the status and condition of street lights, this system continuously monitors, diagnoses and then communicates the data. Network information is accessible through a user friendly web browser interface. GE Lighting Systems helps street lighting managers deliver sustainable improvements in maintenance productivity, asset life extension, and reduced energy consumption.
