So, in order to develop a holistic approach for scoring good marks in G.S. Prelims and Mains both, we are providing section wise strategy and guideline to ensure a comprehensive preparation of Prelims and Mains. The syllabus of Prelims and Mains is presented here in a different way just to develop the integrated approach in the students during their course of preparation. (9) Current events of national and international importance: Now, as long as the concept of current affairs is concerned, the scenario for the past three years has changed drastically. Please note it down very carefully that now the questions which are coming in Prelims are analytical and reason and assertion based. So this section has also got its roots in every other section of the syllabus. In line with the basics. So, In order to cover up current affairs section. Please start following at least two good newspapers (The Hindu, Indian express) along with any good competitive magazine from the very first day of your preparation till the time you are selected. Remember now there is no more concept of award, appointments, personalities type current affairs questions. Now it has become a chain rule. Means a chain of events or sequences on every front. And try to read in an analytical manner. Friends, this brief strategy and guideline regarding the integrated approach of G.S Prelims & Mains has really helped some candidates who were selected in CSE-2010 & 2011.And for sure will help everyone if followed properly.
