INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMA IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT (IDPM)

COURSE DESCRIPTION The International Diploma in Project Management is a professional level qualification in project management, certified and validated by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. The qualification is designed around six modules of study that follow the naturally occurring phases of a project life cycle. Milpark Business School is an accredited centre for the delivery of the IDPM. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND CANDIDATE PROFILE Applicants must have successfully completed an intermediate level course in Project Management. A typical candidate will fit the following profile: A Manager of multiple projects; or A Project Manager of a single project; or A Strategic or Operational Manager working to deadlines; or A member of a Project Team; or The IDPM is most suitable for Project staff who are working on projects NOW!

CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion of assessments, candidates will be awarded the International Diploma in Project Management, conferred by the University of Cambridge. PROGRAMME OUTLINE The following is a brief outline of the themes that will be dealt with in the course: Module 1- Project Design, Identification and Analysis Module 2- Project Appraisal and Assessment Module 3- Project Definition and Planning Module 4- Financial Management and Approval Module 5- Project Management and Implementation Module 6- Project Closure and Handover

ASSESSMENT Candidates are assessed through three work-based assessments, based on a pre-identified actual project. DURATION 8 Months Candidates will attend an induction and 3 three-day seminars. FURTHER STUDIES AND ARTICULATION The Diploma also recognises and embodies other internationally used methodologies such as PRINCE2, Logical Framework Analysis (Log FRAME) and Six Sigma project planning. The Diploma has also been developed in conjunction with leading members of the sectors U.K Professional Body The Association for Project Management (APM) and the Project Management Institute (PMI); and provides evidence towards professional membership as well as to other progression routes to other academic targets. ABOUT MILPARK BUSINESS SCHOOL Milpark Business School offers a range of higher education qualifications, accredited by the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) of the Council on Higher Education (CHE). Milpark Business School offers distance-learning and contact-learning, as well as supporting workshops.
