CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Presenter at the Virginia Society for Technology in Education state conference 2010. The session, Bring IT (Instructional Technology) On! Make Sure They Get IT!, presented ways I have effectively integrated technology in a variety of classrooms. Topics included various software applications, SMART Pens (Livescribe), interactive whiteboard software, and various web-based resources. Selected as a member of the 2010-2015 Division Educational Technology Plan committee. As a member, I assisted with writing the goals, objectives, and strategies FCPS will focus on over the next few years. Initiated use of personal digital assistants to facilitate introduction of technologybased learning tools, and transitioned students from manual to computerized organizational study skills. Selected to present my classroom utilizing the personal digital assistants in front of Virginias Lieutenant Governor, Tim Kaine.
