(George Orwell) [Revised] Every day the bumper-sticker slogan-swallowers gobble up whatever propaganda the Tom Sawyers dish out to white-wash any Presidents fence I understand, more and more, Lily Tomlins sentiment that, "No matter how cynical I get, I cant keep up." Obama has "evolved"? Really? What a farce. Like Alice in Wonderland, "Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." The spoon-fed propaganda that the gullible Lefties gobble up this week is that President Obama finally talked it over with his wife and kids and, hallelujah (or is it mumbo-jumbo abracadabra?) he evolved. And, hurray, hurray, the bleating fleeced sheep go gaga. Even the barebacking conservative cafeteria Catholic Andrew Sullivan is moved to tears. Oh bjesus pull me out a violin. "The curse of man, and the cause of nearly all his woe, is his stupendous capacity for believing the incredible." (H.L. Mencken.) This carefully confected script was right out of Noam Chomskys propaganda model and the cynical careerist sycophant journalists like Andrew Sullivan, Robin Roberts, et. al. (proving themselves no different than Bushs infamous stenographers) all marched in Heideggerian lock-step to remind me of Janet Malcolms famous line that "Every journalist who is not too stupid or too full of himself to notice what is going on knows that what he does is morally indefensible." Evolved? As Joseph Goebbels (Hitlers Reichsminister for propaganda and national enlightenment) once said, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. He knew, like Mark Twain, "A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." It is, indeed, easier for a politician to have a lie believed than a beggar to spread the truth. To paraphrase Goebbels Nazi compatriot Herman Goering , It is the leaders of the country, with the collaboration of the propagandists called journalists, who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the spin-doctors. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being liberated from their oppressors and denounce the inconvenient truth-

we sip only little by little at a truth we find bitter. (Diderot.) In fact Obama was repeatedly on the record for full marriage equality (no civil union compromise!) as far back as 1996. But shh, don't ask because he and his spin-doctors surely won't tell. Despite the vapid spin, the fact is that Obama never evolved at all but merely went only half way back to where he stood 16 years ago. Click here and here and here and here and here too. There is even more any sophomore journalism student should be able to find with a few clicks so I wont do all the easy homework for you. Now come on, it's hard to believe any journalist worth their salt could not be aware of these irrefutable, documented, facts easily accessible on the Internet for 16 years. Indeed, for any journalist/pundit to dare plead ignorance is to admit misfeasance, malfeasance, and nonfeasance. Authenticity? Please, it takes 16 Google minutes to vet this fraud and pull the wool from over ones eyes. Then again, if propaganda shills the likes of Andrew Sullivan or Robin Roberts eschewed to role Heideggerian puppets to exercise journalistic integrity by asking the hard questions they wont get invited to the next "Stenographer's Ball". Change? Plus a change, plus c'est la mme chose!! Whats really going on? There is a more insidious layer to this bright and shinny sanctimonious hustle. You see, there was a far more invidious secret marriage here but it was a shotgun wedding and a traditional marriage made in Hell between Church and State. You see, Obama the Bamboozler got trapped in a shot-gun wedding and he virtually admits it in Dreams From My Father. Do people even read the books they blabber about as cocktail parties? Obama made it patently clear in Dreams From My Father that (having been brought up in a secular (Unitarian deist that means no miracles and no superstitious hocus pocus) home, he had absolutely no interest in being saved'. His only epiphany was being told by the fulminating pulpit-pounder Rev. Jeremiah Wright, that he'd go nowhere in Chicago politics and secure no confidence of the black community unless he bent his knee before the alter of a church, any church, it didn't really matter which church, as long as it was black and Christian. Absent that, all the community organization would not matter. What did matter was a that a statesman exploit a church as an explicit tool for political self-interest. It is telling how few people who claim to have read this book even noticed this admission of cynical calculation. After all, if he did not belong to a church hed not be perceived as a believer and that is political suicide America. It was a flat-out playing of The God Strategy and there was no pretense about it. that he would get nowhere in politics as a black man unless he was an openly proclaimed believer' and knee-bending member of a black church. "Awakened, as Karl Mark might say, by the icy waters of cold calculation" the Machiavellian Obama genuflected. Suddenly, knocked off his secular ass on the road to the White House - an epiphany! This child of a Unitarian secularist family found Jesus and became a Christian member of the UCC which, please note, openly endorsed Marriage Equality For All in 1995 only one year before Obama openly and unequivocally subscribed to in pandering for gay votes. These are not my opinions but facts. This much is not editorial but report and it is all supported by Obamas own written admissions. So much for books more talked about than read. This, conflict-of-interest, of course, presented an obvious conundrum since infamously homophobic black evangelicals have, in the past tainted (indeed been recruited by) the Obama campaign and caused some embarrassment. So Obama made a Faustian Bargain and blew off gay marriagefor the gay Jim Crow separate but equal Booker T accommodationist compromise of civil unions. Of course any wedding of Church and State is always a marriage made in Hell but the devil, of course, always pays his dues (at least $140 million reported as December 2010 but its impossible to tell and dont expect the UCC piloted Americans United for Separation of Church and State to go follow the money). Suffice to say that President Obama shoveled the God-botherers more truckloads of faith-based tax dollars than any Bible-thumping Bushite Dominionist could dream of. Another perfect example of Christopher Hitchens indictment that religion poisons everything. So, after playing one faction against the other, Obama now cavalierly tosses over exactly what Dick Cheney offered eight years ago and the sycophant propaganda press all go gaga as they chomp at the tainted bait with a rusty hook sticking out. Evolution? Pulease. And what journalist (presuming such animal is not totally extinct) has reported these facts? Ah, yes, au-then-ti-ci-ty. The Rev. Wright was right! You gotta keep the people ignorant. And that is easy enough to pull-off with collaboration between spin-doctors and journalists who, presuming they are not too stupid or too full of themselves to notice what going, know that what they do is ethically indefensible. Any Progressive/Liberal on the Left who dares to speak truth to these lies will suffer censure by the fellow travelers who demand that every Liberal or member of the LGBT community march in lock-step. It is the mylies-are-more-noble-than-your-lies and my-religion-is-better-than-your-religion game. Political Correctness, you see. really is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical,

liberal minority, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end. The notion in America today is that everyone must be a branded political believer of some sort. Everyone it seems must choose a dogma and march in lock-step to defend any lie their adored Big Brother de jure is hustling. But, as Pascal put it, some of us are so made that we can never believe and prefer to look at the actual evidence. So, to clear up the epithets dumped in my email box, let me say I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican (please dont even ask me for a distinction with much of a difference because I cant think of one right now) and, from what Ive seen of both their monstrous pelf-powered propaganda mills, Id take umbrage if anyone accused me of being either. I prefer to vet spoon-fed propaganda and try to think for myself as much as possible. Depending on the issue you will always find me in the same place: somewhere to the Left of Trotsky or the Right or Barry Goldwater before the GOP committed mass religious suicide. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. The defenders of fraud tell on themselves when they march in lockstep too cowardly to speak truth to lies that serve their own agenda. I wouldnt say that all liars and propagandists are as fungible dollar bills. Some are better than others. After all, this is America and we do have a free choice of which hypocrite liar the 1% give us vote for. Hypocrisy is always the homage which vice pays to virtue. Defending the blatant hustle of easily refuted fraud does not advance the cause of marriage equality as much as it damages the integrity of our own Community. Every goose-stepping true believer who is not too stupid or too full of themself to notice what is going on just thinks their lies are more morally defensible. As a member of the LGBT Community I have little admiration for mindless fellow travelers who believe that lies and falsehood will win us much respect even were we get a receipt for our deceit. Pandering to and exploiting ignorance is hardly a virtue and it is a disservice to those who hunger for the skills to think for themselves. There can be no true liberty for a community that lacks the means by which to detect lies or that capitulates to them. That is the life of a whore. No propaganda should be sacred to us. We should be ashamed to think

how easily we capitulate to badges and names and bumper-sticker slogans when we ought to go upright and vital, and speak the rude truth in all ways.

Sixteen years ago the unconverted legal scholar Barack Obama said, unequivocally and in no uncertain terms with no mincing of words I favor legalizing same-sex and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages." There was no resort to despicable separate but equal "civil unions" and no Booker T accommodation as capitulation to invidious religious faction. Sixteen years ago, when presented with a proposed Marriage Resolution which read in part "because marriage is a basic human right and an individual personal choice, BE IT RESOLVED, the state should not interfere with same-gender couples who [ choose ] to marry and share fully and equally in the rights, responsibilities and commitment of civil marriage" [emphasis added] Obama responded: "I would support such a resolution." That was the Barack Obama we were all so rightly proud of 16 years ago. He gave us hope. Then his Machiavellian audacity proved (to paraphrase Lord Byron) that hope was just the paint on the face of his politics. Just a touch of political expedience rubbed it off and then we saw what a hollow cheeked harlot wed gotten hold of. The talk quickly proved cheap for what he gave with his Left hand and he soon took away with this Right but only after he found Jesus and was saved. Religion poisons everything. And even now, 16 years and counting, he still cowers before the God-botherers, and only begrudgingly proffers Republican Dick Cheneys stale states rights crumbs. We have gone from a full loaf to half a loaf to crumbs. He talks the talk and walks the walk but he still lacks the cajones to walk his talk. Authenticity requires that Barack Obama, a so-called civil rights lawyer, admit what every one of his privileged former law students knows for sure: civil marriage is a fundamental constitutional right guaranteed under the Fourteenth Amendment and it may not abrogated or be denied to any class of persons for reasons of sex or religion. However that would require both explanation and apology and, despite his African-American heritage, he is still an Ivy League recipient of well-earned affirmative action privileges and the motto of the elite Ivy League club is never explain, never apologize. But examine the coverage in any publication over the years on marriage equality and you will find a commonality that panders to the common denominator. Propagandist after propagandist posing in the drag of journalist and legal pundit resort to poll after poll showing that public opinion is shifting in favor of marriage equality. We need not guess where "Negroes" would be if their civil rights had been left in the hands of Tyrannous Majority instead of an independent judiciary. I'll not here reiterate the legal bedrock the propagandists and journalist just can't seem to wrap their pea-shooter brains around. Just click here. To paraphrase John Maynard Keynes, in his seminal work, The General Theory of Employment, we can compare presidential politics to a silly competition in which the participants have to pick several pretty girls from a hundred photographs, the winner being to one who chooses the girls closest to the average opinion: "It is not a case of choosing those which, to the best of one's judgement, are really the prettiest, nor even those which an average opinion genuinely thinks the prettiest. We have reached the third degree where we devote our intelligence to anticipating what the average opinion expects the average opinion to be." So as John Gray puts it in Straw Dogs "we are forced to live as if we are free." George Santayana told us that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Indeed, history repeats itself goes the old saw but Marx added, first as tragedy, then as farce." Obama now flips for marriage equality which he was once against in favor of gay jim crow separate but equal civil unions to which he flipped after his first flopped when he was all for it in 1996 before he played The God Strategy and hurray hurray once again 2 + 2 = 5. "First as tragedy, then as farce." All this rubbish over a counterfeit evolution is amazing. This is about pelf and power far more than civil rights. It may have symbolic significance for some but it will not change the hearts and minds of those so ossified by orthodoxy who, rather than swear on a Bible to uphold the Constitution, will forswear the Constitution to uphold the Bible - or at least Page 7 of 8

the blood- soaked parts that appeal to their bigoted prejudices. Except sometimes for, lets face it, Obama had little to loose and much to gain. Despite the bacilli of homophobia that especially infects black evangelicals it strains credulity to think even the Republicans amongst them will pull the lever for the weird and sinister beliefs of a Mormon candidate and please notice how, for the first time in decades, no one has dared march their preachers into the public square. Gee wiz. I wonder why that is. With all due respect to the slogan-swallowing sycophants, you can optimistically suck-up the propaganda all you want but the place where optimism most flourishes is the lunatic asylum.
