PROJECT SYNOPSIS
GENERAL INTRODUCTION
Job Portal is a web-based application, which has three main entities Candidates, Employers and Admin. Candidates can register themselves, modify their details, search and apply for the jobs. Candidates can upload new resume, update his profile and can view his status of jobs he/she had applied. Employers can register themselves, upload logos and edit their profiles. Employers can buy services like Hot Employers where in they can advertise in main page , posting hot vacancies and listing in Featured Employers List. Employers can also add a note or some information about their company, which act like advertisement in left menu of Candidates pages and Business Notes where in they can write business proposals, and some partnership plans which can be rendered in left menu of employers pages.

EXISTING SYSTEM
The existing system is a manual system of limitations like accuracy, expense, low speed and efficiency and unformatted outputs. In the existing system, all data processing is done manually. All the files and record books are replaced by the software system. When there are a lot of issues such as retrieval and storage of the information and keeping track of them becomes a tedious task. By implementing a computerized system, the limitation in the present system will be reduced. Manpower can be reduced to a great extent and efficiency and accuracy can be increased to manifold. More over consumption of time can be reduced to far greater extend by the implementation of the proposed system.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
In the proposed system we propose to computerize the above-mentioned activities. In the existing system, all data processing is done manually. The proposed system fully satisfies user needs. All most all the limitations of the existing system are reduced in a great manner. Details are stored in various files from which data can be accessed and manipulated easily. In the proposed system there are two sections one is administration part in which the following processes are carried out.

PROJECT APROACH
The proposed system is a web-based application system. It has three user interfaces each for candidates, employers and admin Candidates Interface Employers Interface Admin Interface

CANDIDATES INTERFACE
This interface would be used by candidates for registering , logging , editing and applying for jobs. This page shows the New User Sign Up page. In the Left column, the advertisements are shown which are coming for database in random manner. The user can upload or copy/paste his resume. User can check availability of the Username also. User can select multiple jobs and apply for these jobs Or open the pop up detail of that job and then apply for that job.

EMPLOYER INTERFACE
This interface would be used by Employers to register and create jobs and search resumes This is employers home page. Employers can see his posted jobs and view /edit these jobs Employers can edit profile, post job/hot vacancies, add notes/business notes etc and can search. Employee can post a hot vacancy or jobs by filling the form.

ADMIN INTERFACE
This interface would used by used by admin for the following things:

MANAGE DATABASE
Admin is also provided with an interface from which he can manage database also. Admin can view all the tables and can edit or delete data rows also.

VIEW REPORTS
Admin can view reports about Users enrolled /Employers enrolled /job transactions etc for specified time period.

PAGE SETTINGS

Admin can also change the layout of pages. He can chose whether to display specific table or not and can adjust the parameters also.

LANGUAGE SETTINGS
Admin can also change the language of the application.

CHANGE STYLE SHEET

Admin can change the colour scheme or theme of the whole application. Admin can view all the themes and can select the desired one and the site will be reflected according to that. Currently the application has about 10 themes, however they can be increased also.
