Prologue

Legend tells of an evil and malevolent force that will try to rule the world and enslave all of mankind. The force will take over a mortal body and assume a human form so it can wield the Dragon Blade of Darkness. No mere mortal will be able to stop him, and the world and all living things will be ultimately doomed.

However, it is said that five warriors from the human race will rise up to challenge the malevolent force. But these will be no mere mortals. They will each have control over the five elements: fire, lightning, earth, wind, and light. They will be the last hope for mankind and all living things. Wielding the five great Dragon blades and becoming the five legendary Dragon Ninja, they will be the worlds only chance for survival.

Chapter 1: The Tale of Nick Urenthal

Nick!! Nick!! Get up! Youre gonna be late for school! Nick!!! Im up, dang ma! Im up, alright!! Nick, youre 17 years old, you gotta

be more responsible and do this on your own. I cant keep doing this every day. I know, I know, youve told me that every day since I turned 13. Well then do it, and I wont have to keep telling you. Alright, alright mom. Im going to work, get dressed and get to school on time. The woman left and slammed and locked the door behind her. The quick argument between Nick and his mother was a regular thing, so Nick was not still thinking about it when his mother left. He then looked at the time. He had to be at school at 8:30am, and yet it was 8:15am. Huh, guess mom was right. Id betta get ready to head out to school. Even though Nick was a little pressed for time, his high school was about 5 or so minutes away. It took about 10 minutes for him to get himself ready for school. He left the apartment and locked the door to his house behind him, left the building and trudged onto school. But wait looks like I skipped the introductions. This young man is Nick Antonio Urenthal. He is 17 years old and was born on October 17, 1994 to Catherine and Ryan Urenthal. He lives with his mother after a car accident took his fathers life. He has light brown eyes and orange to reddish non-gelled spiky hair, on his chin as well. His left ear is also pierced and has a square earring in it. He attends Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan. He is the quarterback to the Northwestern High School football team, but due to his young age has a medium muscle build as well as making him a very popular student. He has an inviting and friendly demeanor and is rambunctious and a rather outspoken person. He is not entirely genius, but can think critically when needed. He also wears an orange sleeveless shirt with two black lines going down the right side of his shirt. He also wears black slim straight Levis jeans and orange and black Nike sweet classic

high canvas shoes and a silver dog tag chain with his fathers picture on it, which is rarely seen.

Nick made it to school in the nick of time. Nick arrived through the school doors to be greeted by his two friends, Jack and Daniel. Jack, Daniel, and Nick were a trio, were all on the football, and were nearly inseparable. But Daniel and Nick were best friends. They had been together since they were three, literally brothers. Aye, Nick, wassup? Daniel greeted. Hey man. Jack continued. What yall still doin out in the hallway? Nick asked. Were heading to Biochemistry right now.

Cmon on or we are all gonna be late. The trio headed to biology together right when Daniel had answered Nicks question. The trio made it to biochemistry just as the bell for class to begin. Alright class, take your seats, class has begun. Their teacher Mr. Lang instructed. Mr. Lang was a tall, dark, African-American male. He was a stern man who had no time for jokes, especially during class. Nick and Daniel sat at their table together, since they were partners for the semester as Jack sat next to his partner. Everyone in this class was a junior, and there were an even number of students, so everyone had a partner and everyone knew each other. Today guys, we are working with Bunsen burners. Every table should have one for every group of two. Mr. Lang informed the class. Today, we are heating chemicals so ignite just as I do, so look up here so you will know what to do. Mr. Lang instructed. He attempted to activate the Bunsen burner only to face technical difficulties. Mr. Lang then tried several more times to activate the apparatus, only fail over and over. Embarrassingly, he announced to the class I seem to be having some problems up here. , before a nervous chuckle. Daniel then leaned over and whispered to Nick. That was weird dude, but lucky though, huh? Nick did not answer. He instead found himself focusing on the Bunsen burner at the front of the room. Soon, it was as if everything froze and went black. It was just Nick and the Bunsen burner. In an instant, he blinked and the burner came on. Whoa! Aye, man did you see that? Nick exclaimed. See what? Daniel said confused. The thing up there dude! I blinked at it and it came on! The flame! It just popped on, right when I blinked! Nick said excitedly. Yeeeaaahh, oookaaay. Daniel said as he inched away from his friend. The strange incident made Nick focus on the Bunsen burner once more.

Mr. Lang then returned to the center of the class, surprised at the now working Bunsen burner. Hey, looks like we made progress. Mr. Lang said smiling. Now that this one is working, I want every group to activate theirs by flipping the switch on the side. Mr. Lang instructed. Every Bunsen burner in the class came on one after the other. When Daniel turned on their Bunsen burner, Nick immediately focused on the small flickering flame. As Mr. Lang started to give instructions on what to do next, Nick zoned out and involuntarily snapped his fingers. The flame grew exponentially as a BOOM and WHOOSH echoed through the room, as the immense flames shot out and up from the device, exploded and roared in glorious fury. Within seconds, it then dissipated into the nearby air leaving only a warm room, astonished students, and the small flickering flame of the Bunsen burner. Huff, huff, huff!! Nick sat breathing heavily next to Daniel who was doing the same. Did you see THAT?!! Nick yelled at Daniel. Huff, oh yeah, huff! Daniel quickly replied, still trying to catch his breath. Although, just as frightened as the students, when the bell rang, he calmly let his class leave, and they all did so without hesitation, except Nick, who walked away still looking at the flame. The day went on and no one spoke of the event in biochemistry, not even Nick. School ended, and Nick went home. He rushed into the apartment building, unlocked his door, dropped his book bag on the floor, turned on the lights, and rushed into the kitchen. He turned on the stove, as high as it could go. He then stuck his hand in the fire. This may have seemed stupid, but listen to what happened. The flame did not burn him. It didnt even singe him. He felt no pain whatsoever, but he still pulled out. Wow. He whispered to himself. This time, he attempted to grab the flame from a straight open hand into a clutched fist. It looked as if he grabbed nothing, only to be utterly surprised at what he saw. He opened up the palm of his hand, to see a flickering flame in his clutches.

At his will, the fire spread to his fingers and across his entire hand, apart from his thumb. Whoa As he slowly began to make a fist, the fires disappeared and under his breath, he said Whatam I?

Chapter 2: The Tale of Sam Ursidon

The next day

Hmm, another meaningless day at the boring school, hmph. Sam, sweetie. What? Dont be late for school; its almost time for you to go. I know, Im already ready. Its unnecessary to tell me that. Ok, ok, Ill be here when you get home. Have a nice day. Sams mother bid him goodbye as he headed out the door and locked it behind. He does lives pretty far from his school so Sam has to take the bus to his high school. He left his home at 7:50am and made his way to bus stop. He had no need to rush, but regardless of this fact, he made no stops. At 7:55am, he boarded the bus. On his way, he sat at the front window of the bus, staring, waiting for the arrival to his destination. The young man, who seems to have a rather dark or solitary person, is Samuel Sam Jonas Ursidon. He is also 17 years old, born to Erica Ursidon and Jacob Cromwell, on December 29, 1994. On the day of Sams birth, his father mysteriously left them on the same night and never returned, forcing Sam to grow up without a father, never even knowing him. Sam has black eyes and black, untidy, short hair, as well as a small amount of the same hair on his chin. Both of Sams ears are pierced with small diamond studs framing his face. He also attends Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan and is a junior class student. He has participated in Taekwondo for the past 10 years of his life and was made a third-degree black belt and the age of fifteen, giving him the rank of master and making him a very efficient and dangerous opponent for anyone who confronts him. Due to his years of intense training, he has acquired a muscular physique, but only has a medium muscle build due to his young age. He is popular student among the female student body as he is considered to be rather handsome, while his male classmates find him overconfident and undermining towards them. He has a very, calm, cool, and collected demeanor, rarely showing emotions over small things or towards anything really. He is considered to be a genius of sorts by his elders, such as his teacher because his

perfect grade point average, never missing an assignment nor failing one. He is usually seen in a white INC International Concepts pleather quilted leather jacket and a midnight purple Alfani fitted V-neck t-shirt. He also wears jet black super skinny Levis jeans and wears blue, white, and black Nike air force ones.

At about 8:05am, Sam made it to his high school. Being that school did not officially start until 8:30am, he used his time productively by going to the library in his school to study for his classes. Unbeknownst to him, there was another student in his classes who does the same. She was a 17 year old girl with long black hair. As she walked into the library and Sam saw her, he was star struck. She was beautiful but he said nothing, and neither did she, simply returning to his studying and letting her begin doing the same. At 8:30am, the young lady left the

library as Sam followed behind her. As he ran into the hallway after her, she had vanished, lost in the crowd of students. Disappointed, he headed to AP Biology class, where his project awaited him. Sam, like always, was right on time and never late. As the bell rang for class to begin, the teacher Mr. Williams began to speak. Allllriiight class! Time for your projects on the models of how atom nuclei work!! Is everyone ready!? Mr. Williams was a tall, chubby light-skinned African-American male, who loved to make jokes and spend time with his students but was serious when it came down to business. Sam, why dont you go first? He automatically volunteered Sam as he was usually always prepared. Oooh, I know this is gonna be good. Mr. Williams said as he departed from the front of the room. Sam them pulled his project from under the teachers desk and put on the desk where it can be seen, without uttering a single word. Sam put the rectangular adjusted the regular on the desk. It was a glass display, within was a ball about the size of Sams palm, suspended on a thin, but sturdy black stick. Suspended by sticks from it, were five dime-sized ball, all purple-bluish colored. Sam then flipped a switch on the side of the glass casing. The stem that extended from the base of the box to the base of the large center ball began to transmit electricity into the ball, which then began to emit a lightning-like aura that then transmitted this same electricity to the smaller balls through the stems connecting the smaller balls and the base. The entire structure then

began to rotate at a constant speed. As a reaction, the center ball then began to discharge lightning from itself in an attempt to hit each of the smaller balls as they pasted a fixed point near the center orb. As this continued, the rotation slowly began to get faster, increasing at low rate constantly. Sam then began explain. This moving model represents the distribution of energy from the nucleus to the outer neurons and electrons of the atom, allowing for efficient homeostasis and maintenance of the atoms structure. The center, larger ball represents the nucleus and the smaller, outer balls represent the electrons of the atom. However, the electric like current you see is not electricity, but lightning. The same that is released from the cloud during a storm, a far more concentrated and destructive form of electricity. Sam finished. Excellent! That was a perfect demonstration Sam!! Mr. Williams began to applaud loudly as did the rest of the class. Fantastic project, as usual Sam. Mr. Williams praised. He then turned off the project, causing everything to stop simultaneously, even the electric current. He then said Thank you. At that moment, a fruit fly flew into the room and began to fly around Sam and his model, irritating him. Get outta here you irritating little pest. He said as he swung his hand at it. However, even though the transmission of lightning in the experiment had stopped, a small flash of lightning shot in the same direction Sams hand went. Sam immediately noticed, but said nothing about it. The fly them came back and Sam swung at it once more missing it by only a little. Then at that moment, a medium sized bolt of lightning shot free of

the glass box and followed Sams arm and shot the fly down and killing it instantly. Sam, Mr. Williams, and the entire class saw and where stunned by the unusual actions. The lightning seemed to have a mind of its own. Sam was astonished the most. Sam then leaned forward to see the fly. I was not moving at all, and it was charred and burned. As he tried to touch the dead fly, the more small bolts generated from the ball and zapped the table where the flys body laid, disintegrating the remains upon contact, and throwing Sam back into the teachers seat. Whoa., were the only words uttered to himself. His fellow classmates in their seats made shocked expressions upon their faces. Sam then returned to his seat and listened to the rest of the presentation, thinking about his project and the unusual things that happened. The lightning seemed to have its own will. When the bell rang, Sam was the first one to leave. The day went on and eventually ended. When school let out, it was thunder storming. He then took the umbrella he had from his locker and departed without hesitation or reason to stay after school. Stupid rain! He said angrily. His umbrella then blew away behind him, only to be caught by a boy, in a group of three. Hey, Sam, this yours? said the first boy. Yes, no give it back. Sam commanded. Sure, but first. We heard you knew Takwundi or something like that. Why dont you show us something, DUDE? He threatened. I have no beef nor business with you, so give me my umbrella and move on. Sam warned. But were not done with you, so why dont you come and get it. The first boy said. Before Sam could move, the second boy snapped his fingers and a fourth boy jumped from behind Sam and caught him a full nelson. The other three then quickly began to inch towards Sam. What now, boy, what?! The fourth boy said tauntingly. Let me go or youll regret it. Sam calmly threatened.

The first boy began to roll up his sleeves and hold Sams shoulder preparing to punch him in his stomach. Sam then began to laugh lowly, then loudly as he lifted his head. What you laughin at boy?! Whats so funny?! The first boy said angrily. You dont get it do you? I knew he was behind me. I let him get me so I could get you up close and personally, you idiots. Sam revealed his scheme. The boys were all horrified at the plan that had been created the minute they showed only allowing What out of their mouths. Sam then broke the hold, flipped the assailant over his back and slammed his hard into the concrete sidewalk causing him to howl and grunt in pain. The other three were horrified. You wanted to see some TAEKWONDO then Ill show you. Sam said angrily and he dashed forward. He delivered a punch to the jaw and a strong kick to the face of the second boy which sent him spiraling away and an uppercut that lifted him off the ground and a front kick to the chest to the third boy causing him to back flip away and land on his head. He took them out in seconds and then choked up the first boy. Sam flipped him over, dislocated his arm, lifted him back up by his collar, then spinning kicked him away, with ease and without breaking a sweat. You idiots honestly you could take me. Pathetic. You had to come in a group and even then, you didnt stand a chance. You lost this fight when you relied on your friends for help. Sam said as he picked up his now closed umbrella and walked away. The first boy, barely standing, managed to pull a gun out of the back of his pants with the arm he could use. Oh yeah, well now Imma rely on this gun and I bet itll do better than these punks did. The boy said as she aimed the gun at Sam. Sam slowly turned around. He looked at the boy and his gun and then looked up. He then looked above at the gray sky, and saw the flashes of light, the lightning. He concentrated, closed his eyes and then raised his hand to the sky. See ya. The boy said as he slowly pulled the trigger. Sam

then could saw a bolt of lightning and somehow caught it, he controlled it. As the triggered clicked and the bullet released, he forced the lightning to his hand and shot it at the boy dead center at his chest, obliterating the bullet in its path. The force was so great that it sent that it sent the boy flying into a tree five feet away, causing the tree to the split right down the middle. The gun was sent soaring out of his hand. Huff, huff!! Sam looked breathing heavily at his unharmed hand and that the lightning had literally vanished from the sky. He walked up to boy. He was still alive but his shirt was burned away as his skin was scorched and charred, similar to the fly from earlier. Sam looked at his hands, unharmed, not burned or charred. He was astonished and then looked to the sky. No lightning returned. He then said to himself What is this, thispower? and in amazement, still staring and black-gray sky, drenching wet, he whispered in the rain. What am I?
