About Rakata Adventure
Began in the late 1980's, as a group of friends passionate aboute exploring Indonesias natural wonders during their semester breaks from university, Rakata Adventure was established in 1994 to service a growing community of outdoor adventurers requiring the assistance of seasoned experts. Rakata Adventure was originally formed to promote and accommodate outdoor education as a fundamental part of confidence building and co-operation training in all spheres. Rakata Adventure has since serviced an excess of 10,000 participants, from elementary students, fortune 500 employees to scientific expedition companies, through our wide-ranging outdoor activities and programs. This experience empowered us to believe in the outdoor activities, combined with ingenious analyses of our clients conditions for satisfaction. The project help to protect the right and needs of young people, giving them hope for the future and providing them with a stable environment which ensures their physical and mental well-being. we invite you to join with us in supporting this worthy couse, as together our continued commitment will assist the progress of this growing community. Disaster Relief Rakata responds immediately when natural disasters occur in Indonesia, deploying staff and equipment to aid in emergency relief efforts. Team were sent straight away to Aceh, Yogyakarta and Pangandaran, providing essential logistical support for medical and relief services. in the aftermath of these terrible events Rakata continues, along with various other community groups and non-government organizations, to be active in the process of rehabilitation in these devastated areas. Sokola The word Sokola comes from the language of Orang Rimba (forest People) that live in the forest of Jambi on Sumatra, and translates as school or education. Taking its name from this word, this project comprises a group of individuals focused on facilitating community-based educationin areas that lack a formal school system. Using alternative methods of learning, Sokola provides indigenous people living in remote forest and coastal areas with invaluable teaching assistance.
