Motivational States Slide-pack Rationale

The following slides illustrate motivational states, described as a series of 4 boxes, from smallest to biggest. It helps us understand some psychology of the mind, of ourselves Often our response to events will depend on the motivational state were in We are often constrained by our mind talk internal metrics, beliefs and constructs which may be entirely false. However, the mind convinces us of their validity The smallest box represents a state of Impossibility and outside the largest box is the ultimate state of being - Purpose Movement from the smallest box to the place of purpose depends on how engaged we are with a topic or in a situation. When we connect (with a project), we find increased energy, more room to move and freedom to be creative or maneuver and ultimately are able to get things accomplished. The state of purposefulness is one in which You take or make your choices and are in control Your principles and values guide your choices You are able to plan better and take cognizance of the facts around you Overall, you are able to enjoy where you are and appreciate it for what it is
